They should be begging for a 3-0 defeat. Could be more. :woot:

For Argentina to dream of such a scoreline they will need to score early...

Parking The Bus is more likely to work against Brazil than Argentina. The Albiceleste forwards are fast, technical and deadly. Messi, Aguero, Di Maria can easily go past people, while Higuain is a finisher. I may be wrong, but Parking The Bus is not a good idea for Iran. Oh well.
Watch out for Gago. He is a pass master for Argentina.

Argentina return to the trident that brung them to Brazil...

The key here will be tempo and movement.

As Messi drops back to find pockets of gaps in the Iranian formation, what do the Iranians do? Do the CBs push into MF to engage and what movements do Higuain and Aguero make?

Should be interesting...

The role of Mascherano here will be key. He is the one who primarily has to shut the window on Iranian counters.

Should be interesting to see how high they push the fullbacks, especially Zabaleta. With Rojo at LB they do sometimes switch to a back three, and morph into a 3-4-3

They really don't have an option...

They have to play to their strengths... and hope that Argentina does not get the early goal.

Key for me will be if the Argentines will trust their system and not resort to playing as individuals...

Hopefully, Argentina won't start playing a 1-4-5 formation like the Italians did.

Will be interesting to see... how disciplined they will be if the early goal does not come.

I doubt Iran can cope with the movement, Nigeria was very static. As much as I wish for another draw, Iran is begging for a thumping here.

Lets see how good this Iranian defence is... then shall we!
Can we assume everyone is an Iranian supporter in this match or is it better to have Argentina
qualify as quick as possible?
