Brazilian nation and her supporters should get over themselves. It is not their divine right to dominate global football and not experience the sadness of being on the losing side.

He is already sacked! Waiting to be told he is sacked is waiting for the obvious

Not saying much, but the team that beats the team finishing third in the semis go on to win the world cup...this has been trending since 1994
Interesting. Thanks for pointing it out.

Final nail in the coffin. Brazilian football has died. But I'm mourning too.

I guess I just can't let go of 1982. Maybe I'll always be pining for that team, that style, that direct heir of Pele and those legends before my time.

:?

Cheers, Mate

My man, Iife goes on. But any football fan with a heart has to feel bad for Brazil. You have heart. Don't you?

I actually feel the same for Brazil since they have positively shaped the good game of football, but its time for that new empire. The likes of Uruguay needs some companion.

Welcome to the club, Brazil! Just like Odiye, loss to Italy, Denmark, Cameroon at the AFCON, France, etc are all etched in our subconscious and we'll probably take to our graves

I somewhat fear for the future of the dutch.. Finding it hard to see where their next world class player will emerge from.. They got this in this tourney on the back of RObben first, then sneijder and RVP.. Rest of the squad is filled with emerging talent but none that convinces me they will be world class.. Especially looking lightweight in attack.. where is the next marauding flying dutch winger we are accustomed to seeing?..

Hiddink has work to do..
Lampard: 101 goals and counting.......

Hiddink has work to do..
thats because LVG has set them up around Robben ,Sneijeder and RVP
Truth is Dutch football is brimming with fantastic emerging talent.
Clasie is going to be huge in the future. So is Devy Klassen
Daley Blind can only get better .

can you elaborate?
Hiddink is taking over and probably tasked with taking holland to the next 2 major tournaments.. will he keep current system? change?
But the player pool IMO is not looking great.. maybe a few will emerge over next few years

They have emerging talent no doubt - but any World Class prospects especially in attack.. If this World cup has shown us anything, you arguably need some sprinkle of world class talent to make it far..
