 You could probably google up a calculator for this, so I want a full logical explanation, not just a yes or no answer, or link.  In the group stage of the World Cup tournament a team loses two matches. Give a full logical explanation of why it can or cannot still qualify for the knockout stage. (4 teams in each group). |

If team A wins all 3 matches it ends up with 9 points and teams B, C & D will all have lost one game and two matches to play. If each team wins one game and loses one game, they will be tied on 3 points with one of them advancing to next round |
