RIP Suya nwannem; a Cybereagles Colossus.

This one hit me hard for a man I never met in person. He was such a gifted writer that his style of writing brought you closer to him like you knew him all our life; from posting about his kids to seeking suggestion for his Chieftancy title among other things. Suya embodied the spirit of Cybereagles and always came up with creating ways of making this site bubble and has left a void yet to be filled to date.

Is it the JJ Shriners v. Bashers (UBA) Cyberwars? CE v. Ghanaweb? Or South African embassy? Or even Suya v. Pa J?
All that made this site so much fun and addictive! He also gave me my Shriners avatar.

I could not get myself to write this because I could not comprehend that such a great man is no more. Suya, thank you for all you did for this site.

Admins, biko, this site has to do something in his memory; no matter how small. I know some kind of banner had been created for Okwaraji on this site. It doesn't have to be that but for such a man that embodied the soul of this site, we owe it to him to do something in his honor. We can seek more ideas or even do something for him in Nigeria.

Thank you.

Admins/Mods, a suggestion.

A new forum called Suya Spot in memory of our fallen comrade. This obituary can be there with all the threads that he started. Those that have pictures of him can post them there too.

Done!

It will take a while to move all the threads started by him.... he was rather prolific. 3508 threads that he started.
The process is a bit cumbersome but it will be done.

I just logged into CE after a long absence and had to scratch my eyes again and again at the terrible title of this thread. What is this? I never met him but you could not but be drawn by his submissions on CE and his articles. Suya certainly came across as a larger than life and lovable character. This is utterly devastating!!  I remember his stories of when he moved back home and an article he wrote on the memorable Rangers-IICC encounter in 1977.

Rest in peace, Suya.

Nice one bro.

My condolences to all those that lost loved ones last year. May God be with you and your families this year. God gives and He takes away.
