From Mbappe of France and Embolo of Switzerland, there will be 35 players of cameroonian descent at the WC.

I wonder if such players can choose which country they play for if they have more than one citizenship?

It simply means they could have chosen to play for Ghana, if they wanted to.ShawnK wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 9:10 amIs this their second citizenship, along with that of Ghana?Rawlings wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 2:35 am Ghana will be making their fourth appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a 26-man contingent However, there are a hostRead more: https://sportsbrief.com/football/28034- ... world-cup/

Chief, Fonzie may have been born in Ghana in a refugee camp, but his parents are from Liberia. So your "descent" thing is not strictly true. Yes, he was eligible to play for Canada, Liberia and Ghana. But na we get am now.Rawlings wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 2:35 am Ghana will be making their fourth appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a 26-man contingent. Add Cody Gakpo to the list. Father Ghanaian/Togolese. More Ghanaian though.
