Eze and Olise
Re: Eze and Olise
INSTEAD OF DEVELOPING THE TALENT THAT ABOUNDS IN NIGERIA...people come here moaning and mourning. If the NFF does this, I'm confident they would get players at least equal, probably better. Nigeria has become a land where people reject any and every challenge, hoping to reap where they did not sow. The presuure should be on the NFF to look inwards.

Eze included in England's provisional Euro 2024 squad
Re: Eze and Olise
Are you looking for an echo chamber where everyone says the same thing? That would be boring. A post that imagines what would have looked like if we had Eze and Olise is not a rejection of any other players. Your post above is quite a reachBell wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:36 am INSTEAD OF DEVELOPING THE TALENT THAT ABOUNDS IN NIGERIA...people come here moaning and mourning. Re: Eze and Olise
I don't understand why Nigerians just love to be disgraced and embarrassed by anything associated with Oyinbo. Yes, they're not Oyinbo but play in Oyinboland. These players have told us they don't want to play for us, why are we obsessing over them? Why can't we focus internally? Don't we have any player in the league with prospects? Haba! Eze this, Olise this, Ugochukwu this, Chukwuemeka that. Every Nigerian sounding player playing in the EPL for at least 1 game is the next best thing since slice bread. Give me a break
Re: Eze and Olise
For a lover of Nigeria you seem to be ignorant of your own constitution. Eze and Olise are Nigerians under the Nigerian constitution (even after they play for England). Discussing their eligibility for Nigeria is legitimate. If my son (who speaks very good Igbo) was a decent footballer, he would be torn between England and Nigeria. He has links to both countries. If you have Nigeria-eligible players in a top-5 European league then we will talk about then here.highbury wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 12:43 pm I don't understand why Nigerians just love to be disgraced and embarrassed by anything associated with Oyinbo. Re: Eze and Olise
Yes. That is when they are no longer eligible. Eze is no longer eligible but Olise is still eligible. I'm happy for them to represent other countries but we can't shut out those that still want to discuss eligible players. We can ignore threads that we don't want to discuss.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 1:24 pmWe should move on once they’ve moved on from us though.aruako1 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 12:50 pmFor a lover of Nigeria you seem to be ignorant of your own constitution. You are the one who has failed to read. You don't know my position on Eze and Olise. My position does not matter but we should not shut down those that want to discuss players that are eligible as long as they are within forum rules. What is “disgraceful” or “embarrassing” in all this?
You need to move into the 21st century.
When your life is heavily influenced by what Oyibo does and doesn’t do, and by what your kinsmen do and don’t do with Oyibo, you have a problem.
Na una same people dey shout “slavery” pass.
To be honest, and with all due respect, it seems you are shouting a bit too loud.
That says a lot.
Your identity shouldn’t be defined by the white man talking to you or even simply standing beside you.
What are you running for?

Eze will not make the final cut.
And I will be happy.
So Adarabioyo didn't even make a 33 man list ? Will he still be waiting to sing "God save the King" at 27 ?

I will be shocked if he does. There are players who have been with the team longer than he has. And while he had a very fantastic season, he did have an out of the world season like Palmer who has forced his way in.highbury wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 5:57 pmWhy are you so sure?vancity eagle wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 5:35 pm Eze will not make the final cut.
