Despite having a wretched season Manchester United ironically had 3 goals in Match of the Day’s top 🔝 9 goals of the season, and Garnacho won goal of the season.

Bruno’s volley against Burnley and Rashford’s goal on the derby against Man City were the other goals that made the shortlist:

Guys, quick question please. Does anyone know whether Roberto De Zerbi used to also hangout with Omar Berrada when he was in Manchester to hangout with Pep?

Sky Sports has reported that United have held talks with the representatives of Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna about bringing him back to United.

If this is true, then ETH May face the same fate as his compatriot LVG whom United fired a few hours after managing the club in the FA Cup final (a match that United won!).

Very, very bizarre appointment. Xabi Alonsoism spreading far and wide. Can McKenna succeed where Jose, Van Gaal, Ragnick and Ten Hag couldn’t? Reads very much like the second instalment of Ole Solksjaer.

McKenna is a promising coach but not ready to handle the Manchester United juggernaut. He needs a few more seasons of top level management before he can manage a club as big as Manchester United.

Manchester United specialises in appointing the right person at the wrong time:

2013: Moyes (when Mourinho, Ancelotti, and Guardiola were available)

2018: Solskjaer (when Pochettino was available)

2021: Rangnick (even though the temporary coaching team under Carrick had showed promise and could have guided the team temporarily for the rest of the season)

If seasoned veterans have struggled with the dressing room egos, how will McKenna manage? A whole Jose Mourinho fell on his sword, what hope is there for Ole GunMcKenna?

What a goal

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp
