Samurai Sam off. Elliot on. English. Jones on. English. Gomez on. English. Not at all surprised. Too many Norse bottlejobs on the pitch. Send the English in to get the job done. 1939-45.

Fo real! Real! Pity Southgate is the man in charge. England should have had a major trophy under their belts in the last 6 years.

Lovely tackle there from Kambwala. Klopp screaming from the touch line. Man’s game. Contact sport. Just as it was in ‘45.

Liverpool players have really picked up some bad habits from ManU in this game. They aren’t moving the ball well anymore.

Not disagreeing with you but he was behind the reset and restructuring of the national team. He brought back pride and accountability… and was great with the media. Now if there was a position of national team director, I’d give to him but in terms of coaching, these Euros should be his last.

Problem is who takes over from him …

Agree with all that. Southgate is a thoroughly decent chap. Just a bit too conservative in his approach given the wealth of talent at his disposal. England should swallow their pride and go for a foreign coach again.

Two words. Well. In. Not a centrehalf in all the lands who wouldn’t have been proud of that. Some would’ve left a little bit more on the b*stard.
