Fans fretting at this stage is understandable, being unused to a real title challenge this deep into the season. ;)

But some perspective after the match at Old Trafford: before the game yesterday Liverpool were in second and Manchester United were in fourth spot. There remain 11 games to go now and Liverpool are back in first, United fifth. If anything, the recent stumbles highlight what an impressive job Klop and his staff have achieved so far with a squad that is nowhere near as deep as Man City's. What is needed now is one last effort to see this campaign successfully over the line. Destiny remains in Liverpool's hands.

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner, Mane, Salah, Origi.

Subs: Mignolet, Keita, Henderson, Sturridge, Lallana, Shaqiri, Camacho.

I like Origi. Hopefully get some creativity from the wings with Trent back.
Let’s get em. YNWA....

Just like I hoped. Matip brings that extra width and watford showing other teams how not to play us. Fabinho excellent

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Yes I meant Trent. Thanks for the correction. It was a really good team performance.

So do I. Mobile with some skill and also strength. Not a bad backup striker at all.

1 change. Henderson for Milner. Henderson good for Ferby challenges and toughness but Milner is too. Maybe 2 games in 4 days too much for Milner.
Buzzing already. Have to go to church and watch recording later on. Will stay off internet hoping not to know the score. Have guns Redmen. YNWA.....

I don’t like Klopp’s substitution. Milner, Henderson and Fabinho shouldn’t be in midfield at same time

Pressure of the season beginning to get to Pool. Even Salah that used to score for fun last season is finding it hard to do so this season.
2 of the finest indigenous coaches Nigeria ever had lost in a space of 4 days. Dear Lord, is this a sign that you are taking away from us what we failed to appreciate? I pray for forgiveness of our sins. I pray for the humility to recognize our wrongs and the humbleness and wisdom to right our ways.

He sure blew those chances...

As for pressure beginning to get to Pool, there's always pressure. If you want to win the league, you have to be able to play thru pressure...This game was well in their hands.

As much as Klopp will take the heat really can't fault him. Again today Liverpool were the superior side, just as they were @ West Ham, vs Leicester and @ Man Utd.

Simply can't legislate for Salah being a shadow of himself, simply unrecognizable to Salah of last season. Salah in last few months 1st touch awful, can't beat anyone 1 v 1, missing sitters.

Liverpool has been in a funk for the last 5 weeks that might cost them the league and possibly the CL if they are unable to recover by next week.

Not only have then gone from 4 pts up to 1 behind, but we're now in a stage in the season where 1 loss in the league (and a City win) pretty much puts them out of contention. Psychology will play a huge role moving forward as each of their remaining 9 leagues games become 'must wins'.

I'm not surprised they're in 2nd and its too early to write their obituary but questions need to be asked of their coaching and players having been stuck in a rut for this long with pretty much a full side.

And Trent needs to rest. He was jittery throughout. Having Lovren Beside him doesn’t hep either. Lovren’s spatial awareness is suspect. Even though Aguero I was offside initially, u don’t lose sight of him.
Still 4 points ahead and we could have gotten a result easily. Controlled game better with fabinho on. We will be fine. The tough away games left are against Man U and Everton. All the other tough games are
At home. We can do it still.
Everton away isn't tough unless their form picks up. The Spurs game will likely be Liverpool's toughest challenge.
