Annoying match so far. Poor defending poor attacking. It's like they are a spent force. A shadow of their former self.

Eriksen, Kane and especially Lucas are playing really well, as well as your GK who has saved several near goals.
The goalkeeper should not be playing well if midfielders and defenders are playing well

Excellent opportunity to get back into the game. Trippier to take the freekick.

bad belle apart, Rose and Dier always blow hot and cold. Trippier is also inconsistent. Vertongen and Alderwierld are the consistent performers, as well as your steady attacking force of Kane, Eriksen, Alli, Son, and now Luca.

Wanyama and an in-form Dembele is what the defensive midfield needs.

Where is that Senegalese guy that calls himself Sanchez?

We were never in the race and didn't deserve to get anything of this match. On to midweek.

Spurs have to solve this Kane issue. If he's not at the races then what? You can't bench him and you have no decent replacement. Mentality of a mid table club. Who is pressuring him every week for his position?

Re: 2018/2019 Spurs Season: [CL] INT vs TOT [GP B RD 1]

Post by Its a Goal »

After 2 successive defeats in the league it is a good opportunity for the team to be switching focus to a different competition. Traditionally Tottenham has often found joy playing in the CL as we have often risen to the challenge and qualify out of the group stage. Against Inter we have a foe that that we often have the upper hand against. Who can forget the match in Italy when we were 4 nil down only for Bale to destroy them with pace pulling the match back to 4-3 and ended up winning the return leg 3-1? That was such a memorable match. Unfortunately times have changed and Spurs going through a mere. Poch is beginning to lose his mojo and the players are not responding to his tactics like seasons gone by. He left behind Alderweireld and Trippier when the likes of Lloris, Sissoko and Dele are still out with injury. Concerning were his comments that he left these players behind for technical reasons, whatever that means. Tomorrow is going to be a pivotal day in our season. A loss will signal a massive unrest within the team as players will begin to grumble about what they think is wrong with the gaffer. A win will serve as a moral boaster to take away the gloom of recent weeks.

Aside Sissoko, Dele and Lloris there are no other injury concerns. Poch should be able to select a strong side in Milan. Ideally Kane should be benched as he is still not firing at 100%. A switch in tactics will help not only the team but Kane ultimately, the question is will Poch be brave enough to do it? Aside Kane, Erikssen and Dier have been struggling as well.

Knowing the gaffer I will expect the following lineup:

      • Kane
    • Son * Moura
  • Winks * Erikssen * Dier

Davis * Jan * Sanchez * Aurier
      • Vorm

I am not so optimist about this match and I won't be able to catch it fully since I will be work however I will still be rooting for them all the way. COYS!!!
