What has luck got to do with OGS winning 8 games? You make your luck in life, what he has brought back is united identity which means attacking football, something that has been missing in the last couple of years, any surprises what attacking football can do for your confidence? We certainly have the players, we had coaches with different ideas which never worked out, we are slowly but steady getting our confidence back

How much of this is due to the "New Manager Bounce" and how much of this is due to the return of Mike Phelan as a coach? (a man who worked with most of the players and was a Man Utd employee as far back as the 1980s)

100%.

i blame Moyesey for all of this. Stripped off SAF's winning staff and brought his mid-table Everton mentality

Some coaches are good at working behind the scene, they should know that and stay there. I have a few on them on mind, Brian Little, Mike Phelan, Paul Clement to mention a few. I am not surprised with what is going at United, Phelan's hand is at work. Looking at OGS looking clueless and taking advice left right and center is enough to tell that he is only a face in that mix. I have never seen a bench with so much coaching activities and meetings going on at the same time in all of my life and association with football, i find it embarrassing to say the least. This is more like WE are coaching the team together thingy, it is both funny and embarrassing to watch :D :D

Then i see Ole come to the sideline, he just stands there and appears not to even know what to say. Every time i see this the image of Moysey the fool springs up, they laid it all on a platter of gold for him to shine, and like tfco said, his mid table mentality made him to reject the recipe for success that sir Alex left behind. He uprooted in and tried to move Everton to Old Trafford, egbe oshi..he was rightly fired. He has since managed to get sacked thrice while relegating 1 team. How do they say this again..levels

my boss
that's harsh on OGS..but i see where you're coming from.
OGS sitting in his chair reminds me of Van Gaal...never stood up, always taking notes

Phelan, Carrick and the man upstairs (SAF, to a lesser extent) appear to be doing the coaching.
OGS will take the plaudits

Burnley played really well in the 1st half, think we are a bit unbalanced, Mata likes to drift into the midle to play the number 10, well Lukaku as the target man, not working! Fair enough i can understand other players have to come in but so far Burnley have done a good job, if the scores stays like this, bring on Sanchez, take off lukaku, move Rashford more central, the side is unbalanced, Perreira, mata, lukaku not doing much

OGS better start by getting up from that seat! if you want that job, you have to do something different! you have to be ruthless behind the scenes, right now you have a good feel for all the players, you can do this by starting with your best 11, they have to keep on playing together unless its the FA cup, mr nice guy, and you are back to Molde, right now, questions will be asked, a game is all it takes for the doubters, it was good we got a draw but we threw that game away!

dude tfco.. why do you open so many united threads? what stops you from editing united's season thread (like spurs) and use that as the games thread... you've abused this forum with so many united match thread and same topics over and over again ..even the spamming assanl fans are now using their season thread for the matches ...enough is enough

OGS will not be making similar mistakes this weekend, another thing i noticed is he sits down on the bench quite a lot, he will have to start getting up and earn some money, nobody will give him a free pass, if he wants the job, he has to shed the MR nice guy image and start acting or at least pretending he knows what he is doing by the touch line! its one thing to say all the right things, its anohter thing proving it, right now, he is still a candidate for the job, just like the Poch, Zidane

'They're getting ahead of themselves... the team aren't there yet': Paul Ince tells Manchester United fans not to get carried away with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's impressive start and hints they need a manager with 'presence'
Manchester United have started tremendously well under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

He claims Solskjaer doesn't have the 'presence' to manage such a big club
'It’s far too early to give him a job of this magnitude yet,' he added. 'You’re talking about someone who has been managing at Molde – no disrespect to Ole.

'Are United not looking for someone with more presence? If things start going pear-shaped, has he got the presence to deal with it? The experience and the CV to manage players like Paul Pogba?

Soldiers win battles. Solksjaer would be wise to surround himself with an army rich in conquest and conquer. Of course the man of Molde is little more than the ventriloquists doll, but many have clipped all manner of medallion to their blazers having done the same. Solksjaer seems happy enough to be back in the building and for the time being, its reaping reward. Does he have the scrotal sac to deal with the male madonnas of here and now? Irrelevant, if he surrounds himself with the necessary henchmen, his task will be to order the hit, nil else. The going will get tougher and his nose will be flattened in due course.

he still remains a candidate, at least in the board eyes, yes maybe those comments were taken out of context, maybe he has taken Spurs as far as he can, If Liverpool have a poor run of form, spurs can creep out of nowhere and still win the league, if we want to go for proven winners, then Zidane the man

6 points difference between Spurs and Liverpool is no comedy, its as real as it gets, Liverpool can have a poor form and Spurs could win their next 2 games and they are level on points, so what is so funny about my statement? Liverpool and City dropped points, It is as close as it gets!
