Re: DRC v Uganda
DRC is a bad team. Uganda have a side that’s set up well defensively, they’ve clearly worked on good passing combinations especially in midfield, good set pieces too. The difference between a well coached and badly coached side here.

Oh man Texas is hell in the Summer. Egypt is sweltering but it's no where near as humid as Houston and Southeast TX. Egypt is more like Las Vegas or Phoenix moreso than Houston.Bigpokey24 wrote:What's all this rants about the weather, down south we are in the 100s

You know this is Uganda's first win at the tournament since they beat Nigeria 2-1 in the semifinals of Ghana 1978.ElHadary wrote:Oh man Texas is hell in the Summer. Uganda has the best goalies on the continent!
The Cameroonians have a better goalie scouting system...
NO other team has such good goalies! Not even Cameroon.
All thanks to Paul Ssali and other goalies.

Onyango had to make some good saves in the game.
I agree with the coaching bit though.

The quality of play at Afcon has been good so far.
Winners do it the right way.

In fact, they held clinics that any goalie from across the globe could attend.
9ja should have sent their best for lessons...
Onyango offered to retire from AFCON after this year so others can get their chance.

Kabalega congrats and well done.
This is a kick in the teeth to the self proclaimed "football experts" on CE who didn't give Uganda a chance or a prayer. Ditto Zimbabwe. According to them Congo and Egypt were going to run rampant and do as they pleased

Watching DRC, one couldn’t help but wonder why a descent set of players were playing so badly. Uganda is not a bad team though, organized and rough. Good combo for the ANC. Won’t win it though because of limited skill sets but I see a quarterfinal run.

The Cranes fans have endured a lot...
I have told people on CE that funding and organization are all many African countries need.
But the ajebutters in EN, aka European/English Nest, will not agree.
If the players don't play in the EPL or Europe they are waste pipes
I hope the warriors make it to the knockout stages.

Re: DRC v Uganda
Good job Cranes.
They have had a good defence built around the GK for a few years.
Farouk Miya & Emmanuel Okwi are ballers & always give you a shot upfront. The quality of the deadballs was top notch.
DRC was awful. They might just have the best African squad on paper. Florent Ibenge running out excuses and time.

Onyango made 4 good saves in that game.
How do you know those two? You must be dating a Ugandan...
Look up Juuko. Best defender in Africa!
Ask Iwobi, Chukuweze and Co....

I guess he'll probably get the sack if they don't turn it around, & it'll be the right decision.
