Ivory Coast v South Africa

I dont trust this coach and his judgements

His starting lineup is garbage

How can he continue to play old man Serey Die who is full of gaffs and leave superstar Ibrahim Sangare on the bench.

Sangare was BY FAR the best looking midfielder in their 3 friendlies.

Also he is starting the homebased LB who looked horrible in the friendlies.

Ishmael Traore is a terrible CB and he starts over Gbamin.

Also dont know if I would start Gradel over both Zaha and Cornet.

This coach is not it for CIV

...Ivory Coast number 14 is a clear example of a waste pipe. a placement chance he went for power, and the power straight at the goalie.

that was just dumb.

Gradel needs to come off for Zaha right at the half.

Also this game needs Sangare. Jean michel Seri has not been able to influence the match.

this ivorian coach is really a fool.

You have a very potent bench, even stronger than many of your starters, and you are sitting there watching this garbage into the 60th minute in 40 degree heat, and not thinking of making a change.

both teams were very uninspiring, Ivory Coast with all their deluge of attacking talents barely did anything meaningful all game... Zaha kept selfishly dribbling himself into cul De sacs, Nicholas Pepe save for that well taken set piece didn't particularly light up the match with fireworks. I could be wrong, but I just don't see CIV as title winning contenders

It was definately not an impressive display by CIV, but considering of all the top teams to play so far CIV's opponent was by far the best.

Considering that Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, all squeaked by much weaker opponents I think we have to look at this CIV victory in that context.

Dry game.

I don't know what to make of it. Both teams were well off the pace and why not start Zaha?
