Given the inexperience of this unit including the coaching staff, these type of results were always on the horizon. Only way to turn it around is the old fashioned way: hard work and discipline.

Chelsea should be winning their next game against Villa and get a good result against Everton. No cause for alarm yet.

Good win today but need to be more clinical in the box especially given their defending needs improvement. Also, this team is heavily reliant on Tammy for goals and overall contribution of offensive play in the last third. The west ham game showed Lampard that the biggest risk to top 4 ambition is not having Tammy available for any stretch of games unless the ban is reversed in a couple weeks to allow register of transfers in January. Tammy’s goal and assist today were massive towards beating Aston Villa.
