Good win.

Glad for David Luis. He has struggled because of a weak midfield that has left him exposed too many times.

Emeriberibe continues to roll on.

Stupid people cannot be helped.

Fullbacks overall were fine today, Chambers was man of the match, Kola quite solid, your Fullback point has 0 basis in fact.

Also What does any of that incoherent rant have to do with Emery use of Torreira, Willock, Ozil?

Front 3 isolated all day

Midfield could not link with front 3 or protect back 4.

It was a near replica of Aston Villa game in that 2nd half and Emery watched Arsenal nearly toss it away.

I'm not in the credit business, that's Visa and MasterCard, Arsenal struggles were obvious and glaring and again Emery stuck with a midfield that is not working in trio of Guendouzi, Cebellos and Xhaka. If facts bothersome that is a you problem.

True....and our marquee signing still struggling
He had a good game. Got an assist, should have had a penalty and almost got a goal.

But the real issue is Pepe's role in the team. When he was subbed, what was most obvious about our team? When he was subbed, we could no longer progress the football from midfield to attack. In effect, Pepe has replaced Iwobi as that player tasked to progress the ball. As teams realise this is role, they will look to stop him, like they tried with Iwobi. That is a complete waste of Pepe's talent, like it was Iwobi's.

Unlike Iwobi, Pepe is not following instructions, he moves inside looking for the ball, much to Emery's anger on the touch lines, hence his substitutions. We have observed this and make pointers to the dramas featuring Emery and Pepe at every home game. This is also irritating supporters who are aware in that stadium.

Emery needs to changed his play. He is losing supporters game by game. The number of times I heard we need a new manager at today's game was telling.

Emery proud of efficient Arsenal after climbing to third in Premier League

Unai Emery believes a well-organised Arsenal can be satisfied with achieving their objective of going third in the Premier League before the international break.

David Luiz's first goal for the club proved all the Gunners needed for a narrow 1-0 win over Bournemouth at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The centre-back escaped Callum Wilson's attention to head in a ninth-minute Nicolas Pepe corner and send the home side to within a point of second-placed Manchester City, who suffered a shock 2-0 loss at home to Wolves.

Arsenal struggled to create openings after the early goal and were put under pressure by an improved Bournemouth after half-time.

But a robust defensive display secured a fourth clean sheet from six games in all competitions and ticked a box for the head coach.

"It was our objective today," Emery said after leapfrogging Leicester City into third. "For our confidence it was important.

"Maybe in the second half we were struggling more than we wanted and maybe in some moments we felt that pressure.

"For me it's one step more for the young players, for us. We didn't feel fear with that moment when the opposition was pushing us."

He added: "We are very happy with that result and very proud of that result."

David Luiz and right-back Calum Chambers were especially impressive at the back for Arsenal, who remain undefeated in all competitions since a 3-1 August loss away to league leaders Liverpool.

Emery praised Arsenal's match-winner for having an uplifting effect on a squad that finished fifth last term.

"He is very positive," the Gunners boss said of the former Chelsea defender.

"He is always speaking about positive things. He is helping the young players.

"He came into the squad late but his commitment is very high."

Though clear-cut chances were scarce, Bournemouth might have salvaged a maiden point at Emirates Stadium had striker Wilson opted to shoot rather than pass after bursting into the box shortly after the interval.

A tentative start and inability to make more of a stronger second-half showing left Cherries manager Eddie Howe frustrated but not downbeat.

"We were too reactive against Arsenal," he said. "You can't do that against good players.

"When we play well we're a match for anybody. Whenever we've played near to our best we've had a chance to win the game."

Wait R U Ok? Really I’m serious? You R dogging our streak of not losing a game and compared it 2 last season while failing to note that the diff is that we are yet 2 have our best full backs start a game? Now how does the performance of Kolasinac and Chambers today = no basis in fact?
Seriously do you actually read what you write, or R u just stating opinions that you will promptly deny or change as soon as you are confronted with facts? And FYI, Chambers and Kolas were sub par with their crossing today. Their is no way either one start once Bellerin and Tierney are fit and firing. Matter uv fact I don’t even know why I bother. As 4 the midfield, it’s clear that you are simply trolling!

The midfield I have advocated for from the preseason onwards is the trio of Willock-Torreira-Guendozi.

By every measure Xhaka and Cebellos are liabilities. Again I do analysis and react accordingly, fanboys such as yourself..well you just fanboy without any facts to back up your simplicity.

Again only simpletons fail to react to new data, information and results. Stay simple my friend!

  well done boys, league is tough some time you just need to pick the 3 points and move on.

@TG How will you want Emery to set up the team for you to be satisfy?
Emery will used his own hand and get the sacked with his crazy love for Xhaka...
Guys if we adjust small we can go for the title. Liverpool next two games is Manu and spurs .
City will drop points soon again, crystal palace away is another tough one for them...

When everyone is fit....

4-3-3

Leno

Bellerin---Holding---Chambers---Tierney

Willock---Torreira---Guendouzi

Pepe--Laca---Auba

Today Ozil should have started over Saka and Torreira and Willlock over Xhaka and Cebellos.

Pepe and Auba were dying for a foil like Ozil today, at Man Utd and vs Aston Villa.

BTW some right hypocrites here. I recall wins under AW being dismissed as it was always said "Win is nice but if AW does not rectify defense the Arsenal are doomed".

Now same critics overlook obvious issues with midfield and front 3.

Arsenal is on the right track just need Emery yo start benching his captain..
We went through this last season during 22 game unbeaten run.

Likes of Tolahs, Nkume and Waffi warned that it was not sustainable, they were right.

As Yankee Gunner accurately states...

Sometimes u just like arguing and woofing. B4 u turned Judas, I highlighted ur comments pointing out that things were fine for Emery until injuries 2 key players disabled our run. Now he is actually on a good run and is expecting key players 2 return from injury! How U can’t see the diff ... is well ( can’t say I’m really surprised) who knows you might claim in a few months that this was all sarcasm from you! U seem 2 flip flop faster than a shifty politician but what do I know
Fullbacks overall were fine today, Chambers was man of the match, Kola quite solid, your Fullback point has 0 basis in fact.

You stick to being a fanboy, I'll stick to analysis.
Not trying 2 be rude but u seem 2 just want 2 troll and slant stats and fake news to fit your narrative.

As 4 the midfield, it’s clear that you are simply trolling! I hv repeatedly said that Xhak will be Emery’s undoing and Ur the only person in the world who could have the nerve 2 champion Ozil when no coach or fan of any team in the world with ambition, would! You are on record here repeatedly bashing the man, but once again, as is typical of your flip flipping nature, UV suddenly become the arch advocate 4 a proven failure. UNBELIEVABLE! Even Sánchez that many said was unmovable has started moving the needle in Italy and would be starring in today’s showdown btw Inter and Juve barring his suspension ... who is comin’ in for Ozil? Again like I said B4 ... you’re just enjoying Trollin’ and Flip Floppin’!

Go tell City, Madrid or Spurs fans (teams in crisis) that Ozil is their new signing and see how they react :sneaky:
Ozil should be in the hole, feeding Auba and Pepe how is that the midfield...do you watch the games?????

The midfield I have advocated for from the preseason onwards is the trio of Willock-Torreira-Guendozi.

By every measure Xhaka and Cebellos are liabilities. Again I do analysis and react accordingly, fanboys such as yourself..well you just fanboy without any facts to back up your simplicity.

Again only simpletons fail to react to new data, information and results. Stay simple my friend!
You can resort to name calling and flip flopping but all it reveals is that you lack conviction and core values. Again ur exposing yourself as the biggest con on CE! For how long have u been an Ozil critic but now, all of a sudden to fit ur con narrative, he is the solution right to all our creativity issues eh? Ceballos is a liability but Ozil ain’t? Nah Bruv you’ve lost it. Carry on you’ll have a new story by the end of the month

No Laca, No Tierney, No Bellerin, No (PEPE), No Holding and one point out UV second place: Yeah #EMERYOUT!! Wonder who the simpleton is?

Now same critics overlook obvious issues with midfield and front 3.

I thought I was the only one who noticed. The maga one is the highest hypocrite here at present.

I defend Emery's right to be given a chance to be his own man and succeed or fail. But I respect and note valid criticisms. No need to get hot under the collar, you can see the problems just like every one else. Today we created 5 chances. I will not bother with the other stats because I do not want to come across as being negative.

I love the fact we are 3rd, but you know and we all know it is on a knife edge. It could easily be 1 point or no points. Things must change, he cannot play a midfield of Ceballis, Xhaka and Guendouzi in this league. This is at the heart of our problems.

We are 3rd because we have taken our chances whilst others have been rubbish. But you know it is going to get tougher unless our Coach makes changes.
