Actually it was also a cash + player deal for Juve as well. They paid about £30 million or so for Danilo as well.
be honest, you are a city fan...you've been very soft around them
E say e like City and Pep.

It’s weird for me to be a fan of a team based in a place I’ve never been or have no connection to. I grew up in the west so this “we” culture is strange to me. That being said, I don’t like Liverpool or Man United so more power to any team that can stop them.

Sterling, Jesus within one minute of their goals
VAR ruled out Jesus goal :thumb:

Is Sterling just unmarkable...the amount of space the Hammers afforded him in this game is simply criminal. What happened to man marking when one player has been hurting you on the regular..

Pep is an incredible coachito. Look how he has transformed Sterling

That's Pellegrini for you. Just a daft manager...

This is why the EPL is a hard watch for me.

What is West Ham about, having watched this game?

Are they a low block team? No
Are they a medium block team? Not really; sometimes yes, sometimes no...
Are they a high pressing team? When someone in a Hammers jersey feels like it...
Do they play out from the back? Sometimes when the GK simply gives it to the opponent!

And all this with the huge sums spent!

I swear. From a headless chicken player like Ikedia and Walcott to a goal machine. Simply unreal

I won't be surprised if VAR is modified so that reviews are only meant for clear and obvious errors not this micro subjective rulings. I like VAR but not the way it is taking passion away from the game.

It was shockingly remarkable to see professional footballers forget to "track the runner." I couldn't believe my eyes. Even I, an amateur couch potato, would have known to track the runners. smh.

Funny enough, as an 11 year old, I read a lot of coaching manuals/books. I was very interested in becoming a coach, so at that age, that was my hobby. I remember reading one coaching manual and one of the lines that stood out to me was:
The running man is the most dangerous man.
How many years later, Pellegrini does not seem to know that.

Nothing can be taken away from Pep but how can anyone who saw Raheem Sterling under Brendan Rodgers pretend that they are surprised at his present capacity or even mention Ikedia and Walcott next to his name? In his final season at Liverpool with Rodgers, he actually played as their Center Forward and was devastating.

yes, as his coach, Pep has to receive credit, because we must believe that Sterling is learning there. But I saw Sterling when he was younger and his last season at Liverpool. His present capacity does not surprise me and I am confident he would have gotten to this level in most other places.
