Bloody Hell! Oloye was right!

Post by danfo driver »

Although I no doubt you, Sir, before! But remember when Oloye spoke about the scientific certainty that there is a height of the ball that goalkeepers cannot reach from a standing position?

Did anyone see Ayew (jnr)'s penalty? I thought he'd miss but the goalkeeper stretched and stretched but e no catch am!

As well as the number 3 Tunisian penalty.

If you watch keepers who take penalties, they simply hit it to that height, they know. Best Ogedengbe used to take penalties, all of them are high and he would be laughing when it goes in.

yes o....have seen similar SOLID PKs from Kunde (90 WC), Eguavoen (Saudi 95?), and of course, Best Ogedegbe vs Tunisia, Spain 82 qualifiers. Taiye Taiwo also struck it pretty well. Most uncomfortable height for GKs.

There are 4-5 spots where to put the ball that the goalie cannot easily get to...
The low posts and the 2 top corners. The other is the high middle, if the goalie tends to dive for all the penas.

There are things penalty takers usually do to increase their chances of scoring.
1. Change up the speed of your approach to the spot. Messi misses penas because he doesn't do this...
2. Fake the keeper with body language (not necessary).
3. Place the ball in the 4 places at pace or high down the middle at any pace of your choice.
