Best case scenario for Liverpool will be a draw between Chelsea and Leicester. This means that wins against Burnley and Palace guarantees top 4 without having to worry about getting a better goal difference than Leicester.

If Leicester lose against Chelsea, they can still win their last game to get to 69 points. If Liverpool win their next two, we will also be on 69, so it goes to goal difference.
We are on same goal difference right now. If we win both games by 1 goal and they lose to Chelsea by 1 goal. They have to beat Tottenham by 3. Tottenham wants to
Make top 6 so hopefully they play strong. Leicester has better goals for though. Regardless we need to beat Burnley 1st.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, R. Williams, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Mane, Salah, Firmino

Subs: Adrian, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, Origi, N. Williams, Koumetio

Team is as expected. Need to fight hard in midfield as expected and limit their long passes. Need to limit free kicks and corners. Let’s win this RedMen! YNWA….

Henderson and Jota in the squad. That is a boost. Hope we won’t need them. Play with intensity, pray for an early goal to settle nerves and use the power of Anfield. Let’s go RedMen! YNWA….

With way the season went, achieving 3rd position for us is commendable. 27 points out of 30 to finish the season. Hope this translates to a good start next season. Congratulations RedMen! YNWA….

Despite the season we have had, (Keane saying we were bad champions) having to play 4th and 5th choice inexperienced CB's, midfielders in defence, Henderson missing and our strikers not on form for a long time, we still came 3rd, only 5 points behind Utd, who everyone thinks was a good season for them. Ironically, we still had the 4th best defensive record this season.

Great Job by Liverpool. Despite the injuries, you got it done to top 4.

CONFIRMED: Liverpool FC complete signing of Ibrahima Konate

Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Boss signing. Fast, aggressive, tall experienced just turned 22. Matip Gomez, VVD, Konate. That is a solid 4 with Phillip. Probably loan out Williams. At their peak and healthy still VVD and Matip but both coming back from injuries so expect Konate to play. Good signing.

Maybe later in the window. They have to be sure those trio are really back to full fitness. Plus hearing Konate might play in the Olympics.

Just hope players like Ox and Keita and Henderson are over their injuries cause with good rotation we can aim to be champions again. Worry about Salah, Mane and Keita going to AFC though. Potentially could miss 2 months

Problem for me is the suggestion they may not look to replace Gini in the transfer market...

Would have to depend on a whole lot of players staying healthy and Jones stepping up...

I think Jones is ready. Doesn’t have Gini’s lungs though. Only players like Gini and Kante can run forever.

Milner, Ox, Keita, Hendo would need to significantly increase their minutes. Seems unwise to not get a midfielder - just as it was unwise to enter the season with three CBs.... A forward is also required.

Meanwhile, i hear Pool have signed a Ghanaian.

Its not the lungs per se. Its the tactical acumen. But he does have potential to bring more to that position as I always thought Gini was capable of, but never allowed...
