F*Ball is a cruel, cruel game. The Citizens have dominated possession and chances, yet find themselves down 0-2. Games like this are where the absence of Sané and Laporte really hurt.

I frankly don't see anything cruel in that. Football is about getting goals whether through possession dominance or via a direct counter attacking approach. Some managers are masters of controlling the game without dominance in ball possession.

What’s really hurting City is their lack of athleticism on the field. Liverpool are closing space and galloping down the field like gazelles while, aside from Sterling, it’s clinical and skillful passing but lacking in the razor edge ..
