Anderlecht track Ghanaian star Abdul Mumin

FC Nordsjaelland defender Abdul Mumin is on the radar of Belgian Pro Jupiler League side, Anderlecht.
The Purple and White are in the market looking for a young efficient centre-back and their manager, Vincent Kompany, and first team coach Franky Vercauteren have Mumin a target.

The Graphic Sports Online understands that they have already been to Denmark to watch Mumin and are very impressed with his output as they seek to sign him this summer.

Mumin, 21, has just one month left on his existing Nordsjaelland contract and he is ready to move out of Denmark as he seeks a new adventure.

So far, many clubs have expressed interest in signing him as a free agent with reports indicating that English sides Sheffield United and Everton, Rennes of France and Belgian clubs Genk and Anderlecht as potential suitors.

With African players making a huge impression at Anderlecht in recent years, Mumin who has made 22 Superligaen appearance this season could consider there as an ideal place.

He joined FC Nordsjaelland from Right to Dream Academy on July 1, 2016 and went through the under-19 side before gaining promotion to the senior team in June 2018 after successful loan stint at HB Koge.

Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin leaves FC Nordsjælland

Highly-rated Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin has left Danish top-flight FC Nordsjælland following the expiration of his contract.

The 22-year-old's contract expired at the end of June but the club had wanted him to stay till the season finishes in July but he declined, bringing his four-year spell to an end.

The Right to Dream graduate joined FC Nordsjælland in 2016 but became a regular first-team player in 2018 after excelling on loan at HB Køge.

This season he was one of the consistent performers for his side, making 29 appearances and providing one across all competitions.

He has been linked with several clubs in major European leagues and he is expected to sign for one in the coming weeks.

Premier League side Brighton are reported to be favourites in acquiring his services this summer, having shown great interest in the talented player.
