The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

Hope Patrice does well. That fool Ahmad the outgoing boss is an embarrassment to Southern Africa :curse: Motsepe is a billionaire so stealing shouldn't really be an issue and as you stated he has experience of running a successful football team. Maybe he can get the Old Mutuals, De Beers and other big SA corporates to our money into the game especially CAF Nations cup etc

EII,
I hear you. Your points are well made. The problem is Motsepe future hangs on his father-in-law political fortune. If anything happens to Cyril Ramaphosa, Motsepe may go to jail or lose his investment to the state. He’s just like MKO Abiola. The knife is out for you when you make your wealth on the back of National monopolistic corporation. Paying off politicians and military buffs in the process.

Chief why would Motsepe go to jail. And correction, Ramaphosa the current president is Motsepe's brother in law. Ramaphosa is married to Motsepe's sister Motsepe's other sister Bridgette is married to Jeff Radebe who was South Africa's longest serving minister from independence in 1994 to last election in 2019. Bridgette is a mining entrepreneur in her own right.

The Motsepe girls seems to be accomplished women in their own right

In 2008 Forbes magazine said Motsepe was the first black African to achieve billionaire status. That's in 2008 folks. Ramaphosa was nowhere near being president then.

More importantly Motsepe became a billionaire long before Rwmaphosa rejoined the ANC in an official capacity. He left the party during Mandela's term to concentrate on business and came back after 2010
