A big country like Nigeria should be producing players like Kauan?

When age cheats were eating the kids cake and Nigeria thought winning junior tournaments was a sign of footballing greatness the actual youngsters were not getting the development they needed and many must had missed out!

Is that why Nigeria is now MIA in the U20 which they used to dominate?

Yeah well they (NFA/NFF) didn’t concentrate on grassroots for actual kids because grown men have a slight advantage over some of the worlds best youth players, you’ll find that Nigeria dominated at U15 and U17 level but couldn’t do the same at U20 because by that time the young men they were beating had become young professionals in organised leagues.

I think Nigeria (especially its diaspora) is beginning to diversify its sporting talents into other sports, right now Nigerians are doing very well in the combat sports especially boxing and mixed martial arts, then basketball, American football etc.

Yeah and Nigeria failed to progress at football and any other sport (not to mention it’s basic needs) now believes those in the diaspora owe them something after neglecting their own talent and not nurturing at grassroots how long are going to continue in this desperate way?

Why did they move this thread?

I'm puzzled by 9ja's current lack of talented players, the likes of Kauan, J.J, Papillo, e.t.c.
