Had the ref not blown, ignored the linesman and allowed play to continue, would VAR not have intervened after the action?

Much like goal line technology, there will come a time, not too distant, where the linesman is a thing of old, replaced by pitch side motion detectors beaming up data to Scotties in HQ. The totalitarian rule of VAR is not too far off.

@Tx, the introduction of Kim didn’t yield the impact envisioned. Kimmich had been ridden raw and needed more than help. He needed respite. Granted PSG are unlike Madrid and Mbappe unlike Vinicius, but both shift the focus to the contralateral flank to open up the ipsi. At one point Real went full school playground, Vinicius, Rodrigo, Championship Jude Bellingham all clustering on the right. Full relationism.

Munich’s defensive shape by that point was all Kims and no Kardashian curve. Could they have attempted BVB’s approach vs PSG/Mbappe? Will be interesting to see if the Yellow Army play that card once more.

Corrupt for blowing the whistle having assumed the linesman competent to do his job? Why the furore over this incident and nothing over Nacho’s “interaction” with Kimmich. Players have been sent off for much less.

For all his 'killing Kimmich' narrative, how much did Vini's forays down the flank actually yield Madrid? For the most part, the covering defender- MDL and a reinforced center dealt with it.

He creates the threat, he creates danger and they did well to create isos for him, but the real output while quite decent, did not match the spectacle.

You can't give what you don't have and Bayern lack the legs and lungs of BVB.

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Its the typical Nigerian trying to create moral equivalencies. Just pathetic...

When pushing and shoving off the ball are allowed then refs are bad. These semis showed us all of that.
