How on earth did Troy Deeney stay on the pitch after what he did against Stoke?!

He grabbed an opponent (Joe Allen) by the head, dug his fingernails into Allen's face, then shoved over the opposition's captain Ryan Shawcross. Luckily Deeney has been retroactively charged with violent conduct.

Nasty scenes at St Andrews in the Birmingham v Aston Villa game. A Birmingham fan ran onto the pitch and attacked Villa's Jack Grealish from behind (knocked him to the ground). Lucky for Grealish that the fan was not carrying a weapon (and lucky for the fan that the stewards got to him before the Villa players could administer a proper gang beatdown on him).

The assailant has been jailed for 14 weeks: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-birmingham-47523268

Got to love this stuff. Amazing scenes, on a weekend when Sheffield Utd and Norwich have already grabbed the 2 automatic play-off spots, Leeds (who are chasing the 3rd promotion spot) did something amazing. They scored after refusing the put the ball out of play due to a Villa player being down injured (and the Villa players stopped because they incorrectly assumed the ref would blow the whistle). Villa players go absolutely mental at the goal, so to reverse the injustice, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa instructed his team to let Villa score. Except that Leeds defender Pontus Jansson did not get the memo...
