Re: Welcome back to the EPL Chris Hughton
Was thinking about this earlier today. Hopefully the club will stick with him when the going gets tough in the EPL. It is bound to.
Congratulations to him.
Congratulations to him.

One of the most under-rated Coaches in the English game. Instead of rotating jobs between the likes of Moyes, Pardew, Allardyce they should give this dude a chance with one of the top clubs.

Old Boys Network (OBN) rule the EPL and beyond. However, Chris Houghton should carefully sign new players for value to stay afloat in the EPL against teams with far more budget room. It is an unfair competition imposed by structure and rule.airwolex wrote:One of the most under-rated Coaches in the English game. The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. Re: Welcome back to the EPL Chris Hughton
By December, the usual agenda setters will be declaring "he needs help" and toasting the experience of Steve Bruce and alike. By January, he'll be gone. Hopefully not. T'is imperative Hughton avoids the old anecdotal acquisitions, the wise heads on knackered legs that, for all their wisdom, are well past their sell by date and prove no more than white elephants. Much more than all else, he must realise, the plank's walk is one man's alone, too much sentimentality will have him hung. Strengthen accordingly and let his troops know, all places, meritocracy must reign if they are to survive. Brighton, may well be one of the worst squads to take to the shores, but alas, Burnley have survived.

Re: Welcome back to the EPL Chris Hughton
Indeed congratulations are well in order. As others have stated let's hope those with biased agendas don't come and destroying his work next season or even the owners start thinking they can do better with a shiny shiny new manager with a foreign exotic name.
2 of the finest indigenous coaches Nigeria ever had lost in a space of 4 days. Dear Lord, is this a sign that you are taking away from us what we failed to appreciate? I pray for forgiveness of our sins. I pray for the humility to recognize our wrongs and the humbleness and wisdom to right our ways.

I dont know about the others in that list, but i think Allardyce has proven himself at wjat he does best, saving teams from relegation!airwolex wrote:One of the most under-rated Coaches in the English game. ^Slavisa Jokanovic equally doing a fine job at Fulham. As far as Big is concerned, two man league, Pulis (Master Mason) and Sam, Big by name, Allardyce. Dyche is close.
