How could that be, what about John Chidioze ?
Re: Peter Ndlovu first African player in EPL and other afric
Wasn't that the old division 1? Africans have been playing in the English leagues long before Ndlovu. They are trying to spin it by limiting it to EPL eraSam Agunsoye wrote:How could that be, what about John Chidioze ?

Allegation was about his (Zimbabwe's) manager's wife not his wife and Yeboah denied it all - http://ghanasoccernet.com/sex-scandal-hits-tony-yeboah/aykwes8 wrote:Isn't Ndlovu the guy who said Tony Yeboah slept with his wife? Is it a different Ndlovu?

We should not read to much into this gesture. It's just self preservation on Peters part. Samora you know very well to survive in Zimbabwe you have to curry favour with the dictator.
On occasion when in Zimbabwe even I have been known to heap praise on the dictator.

I believe when they are talking about the EPL they are talking from 1992 onwards. Grobelaar was playing in England way before then.

Can someone help with a list of African players playing English first division before 92, and the clubs they played for.
Crucially who was actually the first African player to play in the first division.
Someone mentioned to me a Ghana fella who played some120yrs ago.
