When I look at centreback like Klavan and Lovren, I have to ask myself why Nigeria is not producing more players in the top clubs of the major leagues.

These are not exactly world class centrebacks. None of our centreback asre playing at their level. I ask why?

Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Arsenal defence, nko? Will Arsenal capitulate as per usual when they face Liverpool in a couple of weeks?

Answer: Probably.

txj, a soft penalty yes. But it had to be Lovren, didn't it?. Let's hope he's the gift that keeps on giving when Nigeria faces Croatia in June.

To fault Lovren would mean that everytime a defender touches a player in the box with his hands, its a PK if the player then falls...

Lovren's made many mistakes this season, but not this time...

I hope everyone on the team slapped him for that after the game. And worse, he was laughing after he did it. The final score could have been 2-1.
