I was kind of indifferent on Oliseh's career as a club coach, but I must give him credit for the success he's had, especially given the position the team was in when he was appointed. Kudos to him.

What's the period 2 title?

Most points accumulated in the second half of the season?

Edit seems 2nd 1/4 of the season, there are four periods.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

If this isn't silly, I don't know what it is. In fact, i'm tempted to use a harsher word.

First, who's this 'French dude who barely speaks English' that 'led 3 different African teams to cup of nations Victories'? Should I ask Google?

Well, if you are talking of Herve Renard, who hasn't won 3 afcons, how does his winning the AFCON with CIV as a French man make English language relevant? How about Oliseh not being a Dutch speaker? What has Renard won anywhere in Europe, his own domain?
TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED...
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding...hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe

League 2 or Second division title if you will (as opposed to the Eridivisie or League 1 which we will be expecting to win next season  )

Fortuna losing. :curse: :curse: :veryangry: :veryangry:

Bad day to lose, as NEC Nijmegen are also losing. This would have been a good time to extend the gap between 1st and 2nd. :veryangry:

Fortuna Sittard denies discharge Oliseh, 'successor' Hofland knows nothing
In spite of a very successful season, coach Sunday Oliseh has to clear the field at Fortuna Sittard, according to De Limburger. The Nigerian would be in disarray with the club leadership

The already tense relations were extra sharp because of a remark from Oliseh after the lost duel with FC Dordrecht. The coach found that only twelve players in the selection were suitable for the top of the first division and openly called for reinforcements. That came to him a reprimand of the club leadership. A week later Oliseh, who with his autonomous way of leading a difficult relationship with the players would maintain, in the home game against FC Emmen a listless impression.

Football International reports that the trainer has already been fired and is immediately followed by former assistant coach René Eijer and former player Kevin Hofland, who comes from the PSV youth. That reporting is also denied by the club. The agent of Oliseh said that the Nigerian had heard nothing from the club management. He just leads the training this afternoon

They certainly will be very happy and might even celebrate it. On the other hand, did I read they have a NEW LEADER (management personnel) for the club? If so, the new leader(s) is/are probably the person/people creating the friction.

Wow! This is straight outta left field. Hope it isn't true, but I have that
dreaded sinking feeling. Regardless, Oliseh has laid down a marker
and is now quite marketable in Europe.

If true, I think he needs to go see a therapist. The guy loses his cool so easily. Looks like his lack of ability to control his emotions has cost him his job.

He fought with the coaches in 2002. He fought with His club teammates at FC koln and Dortmund. He fought with Enyeama. His YouTube video about the NFF. Quit the SE job. This is a pattern.

A coach must be diplomatic. Look at the maturity showed by Keshi(RIP) and Rohr.
Winners do it the right way.

Why? Because a journalist who you dont even know, in a language you dont even speak, says it? Then its true? Nothing changes! The black man will always believe his white master to the detriment of a fellow black. shame.
