Teams that should be breaking the bank for our boys
Swansea City
Huddersfield Town
Stoke City
Brighton
West Ham
Burnley
West Bromwich Albion
Bournemouth
Southampton
Everton
Newcastle United
Watford
Crystal Palace
Is there really any justification for taking any player who cannot get into these kind of teams to Russia 2018? I do not think it should be too hard to make the starting 11 of any of these teams. If you consider yourself an international player, this should be the minimum standard you set yourself!

Ayo listed his favorite teams in the 'Run-and-Shoot' leagues. No La liga, Bundesliga, or even Italian team.

Re: Teams that should be breaking the bank for our boys
Only one Nigerian player is delivering the goods in the Premiership at the moment. Very worrying.
Victor Moses is a shadow of what he was earlier in the season. Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho leave a lot to be desired.
I just hope four or five of our boys join during the window. La Liga, Serie A, Die Bundesliga and The Premiership are the places to be!

Re: Teams that should be breaking the bank for our boys
Just imagine how this forum would light up if the following were playing regularly for any of those clubs I listed:
Francis Uzoho
Tyrone Ebuehi
Brian Idowu
Kenneth Omeruo
Mikel Obi
William Ekong
Kelechi Nwakali
Abdul Ajagun
Odion Ighalo
Henry Onyekuru
By 2022, we would have been able to set a benchmark whereby it is established that to play for the Eagles you must be a regular starter in one of the major five leagues. Now, that is called making progress.

In a couple of months, we will start another thread why Nigeria did not make it out of the group and sack Rohr
So angry Nigeria got kicked out of the world cup once again, i nearly told my wife that i caught my girlfriend with another man today!

Even if we finish rock bottom of our group, we should keep Rohr in my opinion. He needs time to finish rebuilding the team.
In 1989, we employed a certain Clemence Westerhoff and even though he did not qualify for the 1990 World Cup, we kept him and look at what he achieved five years later. That for me is the way to go.
Had we sacked Westerhoff for not qualifying for Italia 90, for losing failing in the final of Algeria 90 or for only getting to the semi final of Senegal 92, we would not have enjoyed the success of 1994. He had five years to build a time and I would like to do likewise with Gernot Rohr.
