IS SOCCER OVER-COACHED THESE DAYS?
The Europeans scientific appproach has been bought into by everybody @ the expense of the Artistic part of the game IMHO....
A heaithy dose of both is necessary but where'd Nigeria go wrong? Are we overcoached?

...I think so. It is such that you can almost program it. The human element has been taken out of it seemingly. That is why sometimes I like the African style of play which deals more with speed, power and spontaneity. And maybe that is why Africans (seemingly) may not be responsive with the heavy handed control of coaches: they just want to read and react. For the African style to be adopted worldwide which would save soccer Africa first has to win with it. Which means staying with their style but taking it to a higher level.
