A goal hanger will score goals wherever he goes as long as it is a good team that will create chances for him. Juve have been champs in Italy for the past few seasons. They will be champs next season and you groupies would claim that it is b/c of Fake Ron.marko wrote:Ronaldo is in peak condition, fitness freak, he will do well anywhere he goes, he is that good
Shame united did not bring him back

To fund this move, Juve is selling.
Likely Rugani and Higuain to Chelsea (total 100M). I don't understand the need for Higuain at Chelsea though.

Well Sarri loves him and Sarri worked with Rugani at Empoli. So Chelsea will be getting Higuain, Rugani and Jorginho by the looks of things from Napoli.balo wrote:To fund this move, Juve is selling.

That one is music. He preferred London to Manchester. SB is happier for that decision.

Good deal..
Jesus didn't die so we could have religion. He died so we could have a deep, intimate, personal relationship with God.
Re: ITS OFFICIAL : RONALDO IS HEADED TO TURIN
Crazy sum of money for a 33yo - even CR7. They will have to rebuild the entire team to suit his style of play. They may of course recoup the money from merchandising/commercial tie-ups (even if not most logical deal from on pitch perspective).

So Juventus have been winning up till now without scoring?cic old boy wrote:A goal hanger will score goals wherever he goes as long as it is a good team that will create chances for him. The reality is ALL of these teams were great before the present generation. Madrid is having a bit of a resurgence, but even they made their name, or edged it out decades ago. So what is the issue here?
None of these players are making these teams, but they are there to play their own part.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

As an Arsenal fan, I am rejoicing. I thank God we didn't take the bate to buy this over rated striker who is only famous because he is Argentine.balo wrote:To fund this move, Juve is selling.

Looked at it another way: they bought him for 80 million when he was 23 yo, then sold him for a 20 million profit at age 33.... I think the ones who got scammed were Man Utd - for letting him leave for "only" 80 million.
Re: ITS OFFICIAL : RONALDO IS HEADED TO TURIN
What’s 80 million 10 years ago in today’s money?
Re: ITS OFFICIAL : RONALDO IS HEADED TO TURIN
I understand your point re inflation. However I have never heard of a 33yo player being sold for 20 million more than he cost 10 years earlier.
