Onyekuru? He scored several goals and had one or two assists in preseason.
Its been silent because Galatasaray isn't playing any more friednlies. That said Galatasaray played the supercup yesterday and Onyekuru didn't get a run out.

Chukweuze has trained with the first team, but played for Villarreal B.
So Chukwueze is only good for training so all those accolades heaped on him are just worthless. We seem to over exaggerate the worth of our players. Look at Kelechi Nwakali playing for Porto B and Ihenacho can not even make first 11 of a mid table team in Premier league. Almost our best player in world cup is playing for second division club.

Done DEAL!!

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2018/08/09/do ... t-levante/

Gent and LaLiga side Levante have agreed on a deal that will see Nigerian midfielder Anderson Esiti move to the LaLiga outfit in a deal reportedly worth €3m according to several news outlet in Belgium.

The defensive midfielder becomes the second Nigerian to join the club in the last 72 hours following the move of Moses Simon, who was also signed from Gent for a fee slightly higher than that of Esiti.

The duo have endured contrasting fortunes with the senior national team of Nigeria as Simon has cemented his spot in the team, while Esiti has not been called up by coach Gernot Rohr since playing in Nigeria’s first World Cup 2018 Qualifiers which they won two years ago by two goals to one against Zambia in Ndola.

Last season Esiti played 26 games for Gent in what was an injury hit season for him and so far he has played once the season, precisely in their 1-1 draw against Zulte-Waregem last weekend in the second round of games in the Belgium League.

24 year old Esiti has been at Gent since his transfer from Spanish side Estoril in 2016 for an undisclosed fee after spending the majority of his career in Portugal with Leixoes the other team he represented during his formative years in Portugal.

So Esiti's move to Levante failed. Poor lad.

For those that say it doesnt matter where you play, this is a piece from yesterday from the Mainz coach on Ujah.

But Mainz coach Sandro Schwarz said the Nigeria international striker has now fully adjusted on his return to the Bundesliga.

“He is now more involved in the game and scores more regularly,” the coach commented.

“The intensity and standard between the Bundesliga and what you have in China are very different and so it has taken him some time to get used to again.

“He worked hard even during the holidays and the result is that he is now very fresh.”

My bad! You are right, Bologna have decided to keep him. He is going to be fighting for a place in the senior squad. I fear he will not get much playing time this year.

Transfer season is 95% done and we've had more than 5/6 players moving up to better sides this season.. Now its time for players to start playing regularly in their clubs.

This is a color scheme of Top Nigerian Players, League quality and club performance.

*Very Good standing (Top 5 Leagues and Pedigree teasms in CL - Porto, Gala, etc): Must also Play regularly for their clubs
*Good standing (TOp 10 clubs in Next 5 leagues - Belgium, Dutch, Portugal, Turkey, Russia): Must play regularly. Also includes super Subs in Green category.
*Very Average (Switzerland, Ukraine, Austria, Scotish, MLS etc and Bottom 8/10 of Next 5 Leagues (BUrsaspor, Eupen, VVV venlo etc): Must Play regularly. Also includes supersubs from Blue Category and chronic bench warmers in Green Category
*LOW Leagues (CHina, Saudi, Egypt, Somalia): Hopeless case.

Yes, interesting development. Will be interesting to see who is the no 1 goalie under Seedorf. Onana from Ajax Amsterdam seems the obvious choice...

Nice pickups from French youth teams like Jerome Onguege, Adrien Tameze and Jean Paul Bahoken (albeit Bahoken and Onguene were actually born and raised in Cameroon).

Goalkeepers: Fabrica Ondoa (Oostende, Belgium), Andre Onana (Ajax Amsterdam, Netherlands), Carlos Kameni (Fenerbahçe, Turkey)

Defenders: Collins Fai (Standard Liege, Belgium), Felix Eboa (Guingamp, France), Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui (Slavia Prague, Czech Republic), Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo (Montpellier, France), Banana Yaya (Panionios, Greece), Jerome Onguene (Red Bull Salzburg, Austria), Gaetan Bong (Brighton, England), Allan Nyom (Leganes, Spain)

Midfielders: Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Fulham, England), Georges Mandjeck (Maccabi Haifa, Israel), Adrien Tameze (Nice, France), Pierre Kunde Malong (Mainz, Germany), Edgar Salli (Nuremberg, Germany)

Forwards: Fabrice Olinga (Mouscron, Belgium), Vincent Aboubakar (Porto, Portugal), Stephane Bahoken (Angers, France), Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (Stoke City, England), Karl Toko Ekambi (Villareal, Spain), Paul-Georges Ntep (Wolfsburg, Germany), Moumi Ngamaleu (Young Boys, Switzerland)
