Rohr Effect?

Post by Dammy »

The entire defence of the SE have moved to better clubs/leagues.
Ebuehi - Ado Den Haag to Benfica
Idowu - Amker Perm to Lokomotiv Moscow
Echiejile - Cercle Brugge to Monaco
Balogun - Mainz to Brighton
Ekong - Bursaspor to Udinese
Omeruo - Kasimpasa to Leganes
Aina - Hull to Torino
Awaziem - on how way back to Nantes for another loan.
We have never in the history of the SE have so many defenders playing at the top level like the current squad. Could Gernot Rohr have anything to do with it?
I am happy

Of course it is. This is what happens when you build a team property, natural progression. Mugus and magas of CE still want him fired because he didn’t beat Argentina and the team didn’t dribble enough.

Yep, more big names than the Croatia that beat them 3-0, Spain beat them 8-0, we beat them 4-2, this was not a good Argentine team, everybody knew that, and our goal was NOT to beat them but just don't lose. And we were there but he didn't make the right changes to finish up the game. And don't forget Rohr promised to beat them before the game in the press conference.

Based on his performance, he should be FIRED.

You can retain him based on some nebulous reason(s). But you can't base it on performance.

Talking about players moving, had it been a local coach, they will accuse him of using the World Cup to market players.

I like the double standards...

BTW, the NFF should still fire his assistant having been caught on tape accepting a bribe.

Your client has made the big money move. Can you take your inferiority complex elsewhere?

Why compete if you are expected to lose to a higher profile team...irrespective of the form of the team? :?

6-1, 8-0 who cares, you get the point. And yes its friendlies but it shows the form of the team coming into the WC, they were in shambles, barely qualified for the WC, piles of pressure on their Chilean coach as he was struggling to find his team, then the injury to their main GK caused further problems. They go into the WC with this bad form and then tied Iceland, got beat 3-0 by Croatia. Then go into crisis mode, we are hearing the players are the ones picking the team. And they are over the moon thanking us for giving them a lifeline with our win vs Iceland, that was their form coming into the game with us. If you want to show their form was any different go ahead or you just want to nit pick on scores, you can go ahead with that as well...

Its up to the NFF (Chris Giwa and co :taunt: ) to determine if he should be fired, but stop making excuses for him losing when he himself expected to win and said as much in the pre-game presser.

On paper/pound for pound CROATIA and Spain are on the same level as Argentina or even Better but Nigeria isn’t so I don’t know what that goat is even explaining there’s a reason why no neutral predicted that we would win. Also, Argentina is essentially Nigeria bogey team because we have failed to beat them in 4 attempts prior to 2018 Wc. I believe that for all these reasons aforementioned, you have to be delusional, insane, Demented to believe it’s ROhR fault that we lost or he should be terminated for losing to them

You crooks cannot have your cake and eat it. Whenever there’s any bad news about SE pertaining World Cup, you will blame ROhR but when it’s good news you will say Rohr it’s responsible for it. This goat just said that rohr isn’t responsible for our players transferring to bigger clubs. Please, who Scouted Ebuehi, Idowu into SE??

Is Rohr now the agent of the Super Eagles players? Shouldn't Rohr also get the credit for Musa's "upward" move to Saudi Arabia? The World Cup is the ultimate in football. If a 64 year old coach goes there with the Nigerian talent at his disposal to "learn", then he should be consigned to his level - Niger, Burkina Faso, Gabon- from whence he came, and allowed to retire gracefully. It actually speaks volumes that the players many consider as not World class are being signed by heralded clubs. So much for Argentina has Aguero, Messi and Di Maria and Croatia has Modric and Rakitic because of the clubs they play for.

Are you a child? How are people crooks because they want a manager that lost in the first round of the world cup (worse than the last world cup) fired? There may be good reasons to keep him but how is a fan's opinion that he should be fired evidence of dishonesty?

On what paper are you talking about? You just keep making up stuff when facts are presented you run away from the thread and then on another thread start again with the same nonsense. Croatia WAS NOT pound for anything at the same level as Spain going into the WC. They qualified via playoffs, they had to fire their coach as they were at risk of not qualifying. They were no where as a team in the caliber of a Spain who qualified with relative ease and can put about 2-3 top starting 11's that will beat a lot of teams. Here are their relative results leading up to the World Cup. I'm getting tired of this rhetoric that Croatia is at the level of a Spain going into the WC, since when? They had a great run and I dare say overachieved at the WC itself (look at the thrashing they took in the final) and did well to keep winning in extra time even when it looked unlikely, but come on.

You're a classic example of what's wrong the Nigerians today and why we can't accomplish even the simplest things like water supply. They see the past a lot clearer than the future. Are you seriously posting croatia's results out of Uefa Zone as evidence of over achieving at the WC? As it occurred to you that the has been building for almost ten yrs before they got to WC final? Wow!

EMIR KONGI and his wife John are typical examples of people who suffered extremely from low self esteem all their lives... rather sad to see two grown up men display such defeatist mindsets.
