Yet to watch the game. Had to take son to college. Feels good to be top. Long may it continue. The spine is good and we have variety in midfield. Hope Lallana gets back on speed pretty quick because we may need his trickery as most teams will Park the bus against us. YNWA

I agree with your choice. My problem with him is, he often goes AWOL when we someone in the midfield to push up and break down a tight defense. Against a team that sits deep, I think he excels in the holding role but will he be strong enough against the big boys in that role? He did well against city 2nd leg of champions league 1/4 final but I believe Fabinho when he gets to speed will take over.

The good thing is that we at least have options on the bench whereas before we made do with that midfield.

I don’t mind he group. Will be interesting. My only fear is the effect it will have on our performance in the league. The games will Dapo so much energy I hope we have something left for the league games. EPL should do like Germany where they play Friday and Monday around champions league games

Carabao cup is not important. It is good to get knocked out early.

Focus on CL,FA cup and the EPL.

Good for fringe players to get games though. Players like Solanke, Mignolet etc need this cup to get enough playing time

Nice goal by Firmino. The defense was concentrating on Van Dyk. Free flowing 1st 25 minutes but the sun is getting to them. Need Keita to help hold on to the ball better.

Salah needs a goal for confidence. If we get a 3rd, Koop should make changes at 60 minutes to give others playing time

Allison, welcome to premier league. Funny thing is I expected that Cruff turn from me and Kyle did too. Allison will learn

Great start to the season, points-wise. Things get tougher after the international break so hope our overall performance improves.

Yeah hope he does. Good thing this mistake has happened this early into his Liverpool career too.

Worried about the Tottenham game. Away at noon right after international. We got over run in midfield today. All the World Cup players are struggling. Gomez motm

Spurs are a good side, and well-coached. About our midfield, the consensus view is that today's midfield 3 was not ideal. Understandable that Klopp made a change, but without Keita, the combination of Henderson and Milner + Wijnaldum is not dynamic enough and so we were over-run. Don't think we will see that combination at Spurs.

Bring back Keita, hope Salah shakes off the blues, and get Alisson to use better judgment and I think we will be ok.

I believe he's a better #8 than #6. In time Fabinho will assume that role...
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Same starting 11 as the 1st 3 games. Huge day for Keita. Defense will be tested for the 1st time really. Let’s go do this. YNWA
