We need another CM. Simple.

Right on cue, here comes the troll from Takoradi.
He spends more time discussing Spurs than his own team :D

Just tiredness I think and the lack of a specialist DM since the injuries to Dier and Wanyama.

That tiredness was visible in the second half against Wolves, Cardiff and now Chelsea. Next is Man United. The season gets more intense and I don't see any rest period anytime soon

Kane is the first and only Spurs player to have scored 20 goals 5 seasons in a row. Jimmy Greaves has scored 20 goals in 7 seasons but in 3 and 4 season in a row.

How long is Vertonghen out? If he returns soon, should we move Sanchez to a DM role for a few weeks before Dier and Wanyama returns because that midfield last night looked very weak and having Winks playing in that role is very concerning. Skipp is not yet established for that role too. In addition, I cannot see us buying players in this transfer market unless Levy flashes his wallet to Poch.

I would rather try Foyth - he looks far more comfortable on the ball than Sanchez.

Knowing MoPo, he is going to stick with that midfield of Winks and Sissoko. Dier should be close to returning to first team action as we are getting close to the window of his expected return. Wanyama is just breaking down constantly and doubt he will be able to stay healthy throughout the season. I am beginning to believe the training session they endure must be the one that has a tremendous effect on them.

Good shout! Playing Foyth in that role might help him - a bit like Ledley King who started his career as a DM.

I am worried about the Spurs central midfield. Herrera especially. Sissoko and Winks are over played. Is Dembele still at the club?

Recovering from injury. He's taking longer to recover and picks up injuries easily. That's why they are looking to offload him

Spurs are getting into their groove and when the team is on this level they are very difficult to beat. All the players are dialed in and want to prove themselves. There is no more room for slackness and therefore they are going to go all out and dominate Man United. United has been in good form of late winning games they are expected to win and doing so with confidence. That confidence is going to brought down to earth as Spurs is the one team that will make life difficult for them.

The first team literally picks itself. Injury to keep players means those who are fit will get the nod. Out injured are Verts, Dier, Rose, Dembele, Wanyama and, to a lesser extent, Moura. We have been coping extremely well without them and it is expected we should be tomorrow as well. Rotation from Tuesday's match means Lloris will play ahead of Gazzanigga, Davies for Danny and possibly Aurier for Trippier. The fab 4 will be as is for the last time for about a month since Son is off to the Asian games after the match. The lineup should be 4-2-3-1:

      • Kane
  • Son * Eriksen * Dele
    • Winks * Sissoko

Davies * Toby * Sanchez * Aurier
      • Lloris

This match will either be one where the press is going to go OTT with stories of Ed Woodward plotting to get Poch or Ole getting lauded as the next big thing. Whatever the case is it is going to be a good game.

Good to have Verts back as his experience will be needed at the back. Fab 4 starts and will be added by the midfield of Winks and Sissoko.

Trippier cross didn't find Kane. Good build up.
