BREAKING: Former NFF scribe, Taiwo Ogunjobi is dead

https://punchng.com/breaking-former-nff ... i-is-dead/

Former secretary, Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi is dead.

The football administrator passed on after failing to recover from an undisclosed illness.

Tunde Samusudeen, public relations officer of Osun United Football Club, announced the death via a message sent to our correspondent in Osogbo on Monday.

Until his death, Ogunjobi was the chairman of Osun State Football Association.

Details later.

make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Sad.

May God give his family & loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss and give those of us who still have the gift of life the grace to learn from the mistakes of others.

Definitely served the country as a player and administrator, but you can't but feel that he, and the likes of Ekeji with their background, education and exposure, should have done more to lift our football.

Not easy, I know, but a lot of good things don't come easy.

RIP, Taiwo Ogunjobi.

RIP Chief. I will try and get details of funeral arrangements.

For all his faults, you have to give Chief Ogunjobi credit for being accessible. Many CEs here contacted him regularly.

Rest in glory Skippo. One of the best club administrators ever... His records are there.

Have known him since his playing days at Unife - he also used to date a lady living opposite us on campus at that time.
Followed his playing career through IICC Shooting Stars (as Captain) and the few times he was capped as a Green Eagle.
However, he became popular as an Administrator in the Nigerian Football Association, rising to the post of Sec. Gen., and until his demise, Chairman of the Osun State FA.

He served his Country and we will remember the good times. Thanks, Skippo, for the great memories!
Rest in Peace.
