Didn't see the opening goal, but this Libyan team is there for the taking.

Just need to keep the score at 2 now, and NOT conceded any more goals here.
Nigeria is clearly the better team but scoring that many goals will require a better approach in front of goal. Watching this game it didn't seem Nigeria would score even if 20 minutes was added.

The team play does not inspire much confidence, perhaps because they were hurriedly assembled.

This team cannot score 5 or 6 goals anywhere as they seem to be strangers playing together, and the Libyans were closing them down very quickly before they could put two passes together.

They need to come up with better strategy in the second leg, and hopefully they have some more time working as a team.

The Ref also looks poor

I'm confident it will be different in Asaba...
Let's not forget that this team only had one full day of practice.

In the 2H, the only time our GK touched the ball was to pick it out of our net...

I, too, believe it will be different but I am not that convinced that the attacking approach will be significantly re-worked at that time especially with the Libyans more incentivized to defend deeply. Lets just hope we make it even if it means squeaking through.

You have to realize that our lads played the ENTIRE SECOND HALF WITH ONLY 10 PLAYERS.

I think that if you go to the linked FB page, you can rewind the video and watch it (at least the 2H).

You only need one (hopefully early) goal to test (and I believe break) their defensive resolve...
Playing the entire 2H with only 10 players meant that even any "plan" we started with went south.

You should know the difference between team and players by now. Are you sitting there telling us that Nigeria can just call up players based on club form, assembly them without practice and still be the "Better" team? What we put out today was not a team.

Well I hope so, but I will take a 3-0, or any score that takes us to qualification.

I just felt there were two many touches before releasing the ball, by which time the Libyans would have closed them down or blocked open channels.

With quick passing we could have penetrated their defense today, but it is understandable giving the quick assembly.

We have some work ahead. The Libyans will come up with every trick possible, especially feigning injury and time wasting.

The more I see results like this makes me appreciate ROHR more. I remember SE struggling against
All manner of teams in Africa away and losing or drawing. Now, rohr has normalize qualifying from African groups with a game in hand and people still have the nerve to open their STINKING mouth to insult him. SMH
