If Rohr does not pick him then it shows that he doesn’t monitors Nigerian players across European clubs.

What if he does pick him nko?
Will he get any Brownie points?
Because it seems too many people are looking for negatives to pin on him, even to the point of speculating on 'crimes' he hasn't even committed yet!

john12 wrote:How can you say “our unwanted arrogance” when chukwueze was SE best winger based on league ranking/rating/performance. Do you realize that chukwueze had a better season than iwobi, simon Moses, kalu and even to certain extent Onyekuru (league ranking) if he is indeed SE best winger this season, the normal procedure is to invite him to SE and not some youth football which end goal is to make SE
First things first; “unwarranted” is the word. You are hardly an expert at ranking players. You are just an opinionated internet surfer like the rest of us so, by what yardstick do you conclude that young Samuel is better than Iwobi or Onyekuru? Both players have played very major roles on teams that are on the cusp of winning major championships. Chukwueze, on the other hand, while having been undoubtedly impressive, plays for a team that’s still battling relegation :!:

Chukwueze will make the AFCON team as a wide midfield player. Simon or Kalu will be the other wide player on the left while the other makes it as a wingback. Ebuehi will not be in the team. Furthermore, Musa will be counted as a striker and not a wide player. Do the math.
Have you really see the team that qualified for AFCON? Chukwueze is competing with Kalu, simon, Oyekuru and Musa
while the strikers are Igahlo, Osihem & paul ouachu

Chukwueze may not make the team as those who played together and qualified the team will be hard to be dropped by Rohr.
Osita

Let's leave that until 23 is named. If he is among 26 invited he will be there. The mistake you make is ignoring the versatility of Kalu and Musa. That is what opens up space for Chukwueze.

Based on AJ Guru article on Facebook today, no guarantee say bobo go make SE now hence the strong push by AJ Guru and others.

People who claimed to have talked to the boy tell me he is open to either one!

ROhR is a loyal coach and ultimately I wholeheartedly respect any decision he makes regarding this issue. However, when you look at iwobi, Simon Moses, Samuel kalu, chuwkwueze and onyekuru so far this season, Chuwkwueze has been the best. Onyekuru comes close but his at a backwater league. Also, if you’re able to go toe to toe with the likes of Ramos, Messi, Marcelo, pique, verane then you’re good enough to challenge anyone in Africa. I believe performances at friendliest prior to ANC will decide which wingers join the untouchables

There are other factors involved here and it's not just about loyalty. His performances in La Liga are what bring him to the conversation in the first place.

Rohr has to make a decision from the overall team perspective, and it will most definitively not be solely on technical parameters...

But whatever that decision, folks need to understand that it's not now or never for Chukwueze.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. Yeah, hopefully he is selected and not miss both opportunities because by then U20 team would have being finalized.

He will be in the 26 team that is for sure.

Its a terrible Mistake not letting Chuckweze play in the U20 World cup. He needs to play with his peers and age mates and show how dominant he is.... This is the path Messi took...Maradona, Tevez and pretty much 70% of great senior level players. Going Straight to the senior Level AFCON may not really benefit him as much as the big Psychological boost he gets vs his peers.

Like others have said, Argentina was not playing Copa the same summer as the U20.

This is one of the results of having the afcon switched to the summer.

had the 2 tournaments coincided Argentina has enough talent that they could have let Messi pay U20.

As it is with us however Chukwueze IS OUR BEST WINGER. You cannot let your best winger play U20 and not AFCON.

That's absolute Nonsense. Messi was an unknown quantity at the U-20 when it started in 2005. He came on in the first game as a 2nd half substitute and until he scored a smashing goal in the 2nd game he was not really considered anything special...Which forced the coach to rethink his starting selection. He then went on to start from the second game and became MVP of the tournament. A guy who was not even thought of as a starter, who was still on the Barca youth team would not have been considered for a selection to the Argentinian national team in 2005.

I subscribe to the Malcom Gladwell school... Let kids Dominate their peers and they will acquire the persona of a natural leader and and will countinue to dominate into the future.... When you put him too soon with senior players he may not respond and defer to them since they will treat him like a small boy. I don't want the bot to turn into another Henry Nwosu ...

I am confused by your reference to Henry Nwosu. Barring Jay Jay Okocha, he was Nigeria’s most gifted attacking midfielder with 60 appearances and 8 goals in his senior national team career. He also frequently featured for the u23 and U20 teams while playing for the senior national team :!:

Henry Was an U-20 Player, who made the Green Eagles at the age of 18 playing cameo roles in the legendary 1980 ANC winning eagles ... Of course he was considered a prodigy, which he was... He however never quite fulfilled his full potential because many others came after him who joined the team in the their 20's, surpassed him both in Achievement and persona.

He had a good club Career with NNB, played a couple of ANC's but to me didn't produce an Okocha-like, Yekini-like or Keshi Like career. His Career fizzled out in an age where you had to be able to go to Europe to make it, a feat he was unable to achieve for all his massive talent. I felt he was a lot of promise in the beginning, he got the limelight too soon, but never really fulfilled his full potential.

I don’t know what you mean by cameo roles, having started the first two games against Tanzania and Ivory Coast. Played 90 minutes against Tanzania and was substituted for Martin Eyo against Ivory Coast. He recorded a total of 60 appearances for the senior national team between 1980 and 1991 and also featured in the 1984 and 1988 finals. By the way, he debuted at the age of 16, not 18. He may have run out of steam a little early as a result of being overused; he played numerous U20 and U23 matches and featured in the 1980 Olympic Games, scoring Nigeria’s only goal in that tournament :!:

I agree. We all remember how Christiano Ronaldo dominated his peers and age mates at the world youth championship and u-17 level too. There is truly only one path to success that 70% of senior players followed. So Chukwueze MUST follow it.
We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.

I think Spain’s by far the best league.

I am not so sure about your information. There was no U23 Football when Henry was Active. They didn't start the U-23 till the 1992 Olympics and U23 + 3 overaged players till 1996 (Which we won) He scored 8 goals in 60 Games for the eagles.... that was not a great return for an attacking midfielder of his reputation. He was a prolific goal scorer for his Club side but couldn't replicate it for the eagles. However we both agree his career did fizzle out...and never quite fully lived up to his full potential.

That 1980 Olympics was when I discovered to my dismay that we were crap in football at the time. I was a kid who bought into the drama of our local derby's, our triumph at the African cups and then we went to meet armatures on the world stage and we couldn't beat Kuwait... KUWAIT my People !!!! :curse: :curse:
