You can only hope it’s true. For a 19-year old to be immersed in that environment he’ll learn things that will serve him for 15 years. Better to get that grounding now even if it means time in the reserves. He has a long career ahead of him and there’s time to worry about starting every week.

This club, and Real sicken me, a player they bought barely over a season for over a £100 million. Can't you just coach up players, is the answer always buy buy buy?

This is why I've been slowly losing interest in football over the years.

I hope it's not true but even so the fact that it's a completely plausible story is bad enough.

We need to stop this mentality of thinking our player will get better by playing in the Barça reserves and watching the first team play. It’s like learning how to generate power by watching the lights in Vegas at night as they light up the city. Cmon dude... this is 2019. Players get better by playing regularly!

He should stay at Villareal for another season or two. If he was moving to a club like Athletico that would have been good, but it is a little early for him to move to Barca. No need for him to rush a move, quality players like Dembele and Malcolm have struggled to get consistent playing time at Barca.
