Re: 2018/2019 Spurs Season: [CL] TOT vs LIV [CL FINAL!!!]
Oga, CHANCE is a moral victory. It's all about Winning. In years, people will remember the trophy winners be it Europa or CL. Akin to remembering a gold medalist in relays or hurdles and forgetting about who finished behind Usain Bolt in 100 meters.pajimoh wrote:You're really twisting this thing. The game was a CL game. Probably one of your most memorable seasons of all time, and one of Chelsea's least. Chelsea still made do with a Championship.
The other guy said Chelsea won a Europa and you interjected with chance in a CL final. So is being in the final and not winning it more prestigious to you to a trophy?
I could be asking you a fantasy question like you're asking - if Chelsea were asked at the beginning of the season to choose a final they would like to play in, Europa or CL, which one do you think they will choose?
My response to him did not say winning the Europa is less than losing CL final. It is about the CHANCE to win a big trophy.

Two blunder prone lucky coaches, one had to win.

Up Liverpool! Up Klopp! Up Sadio! Up Van Dijk! Up Allison! Up Fabinho! Up Origi! This victory sweet, and I am so happy Tottenham did not win.
Re: 2018/2019 Spurs Season: [CL] TOT vs LIV [CL FINAL!!!]
Everybody would rather win something, if that was revealed. That is not what I said. Spurs were in the CL final and Chelsea in the Europa final. Both with a chance to win something. I'm talking about the chance to win something. It's like being in the CL final is now a bad thing. The big teams go for big cups and not think we would go for the lesser one because we have a better chance of winning it. Why are these teams killing themselves trying to get into the top four or win Europa to get into the CL?green4life wrote:I’d rather win Europa League trophy with a chance to win the UEFA super cup at beginning of next season but wetin I know?pajimoh wrote:I will rather be in the CL final than Eurooa final.Cito wrote:Will you rather lose this game than win Europa? Sad way to end the season but proud all the same of the boys. Time for them to recuperate and get that much needed time off to freshen up.
End of a chapter beginning of a new dawn.
Time to say goodbye to a few fan favorites and welcome a few that will try to become a legend of the club.

G4L, the winner of the Europa still gets less than the loser of the CL. €2.92 million compared to €15 million so yeah I'd rather be in Spurs position.

It’s a shame reading that money comes first over trophies. I support a club that needs to win trophies not how much money we get for appearing in the final.green4life wrote:My brother i hear you about the money but the prestige comes from trophies and titles. Its a Goal wrote:G4L, the winner of the Europa still gets less than the loser of the CL. €2.92 million compared to €15 million so yeah I'd rather be in Spurs position.

Let's look at it logically. Liverpool spent to get where they are. If money isn't important to winning the likes of Cardiff would be winning everything. The difference maker on that pitch in terms of defense, look at their price tag.kenmega wrote:It’s a shame reading that money comes first over trophies. If Tottenham are to compete, they need the money CL brings, a new stadium brings.
No one is choosing cash over trophies but get the cash and you're a lot closer to the trophies. Even Chelsea that won Europa, look at their spending compared to Spurs. One signing can make a difference to a team and a season

Guys how far. How are you coping? Although I do not know how it feels to lose a final, because I am a winner, but I was informed that it can be very very tough and sometimes, it could take close to a week to recover. And even after that, there will always be a reminder of "what could have been." Take it easy, guys. IAG, if you can, please send for Cristao and let him spend time with guys this week... eh.. e jo! eh?!

Guys! Good evening again!
Sorry for the disturbance. I was just entering this room to see if I dropped my keys when I was here the first time.
Oh! By the way, do you guys think you can keep a hold of your squad? or would most of them move on so that they can win things? Thanks!

Very anticlimactic ending for the Prince of Serendip. There are moments when the head must hold hegemony and the heart, bow in subservience. In starting Harry Kane, Pochettino showed himself to be more Jimminy Cricket than Geppetto. The Roy of the Rovers script had already been read, in Lucas Moura, a round prior, Spurs had played their Clark Kent turned Superman card. The final called for deep thought not sentimental feeling. To squander a Champions League final berth in such fashion was a shame for football in all its entirety. In the minutes leading up to team selection, Pochettino, MP, showed himself to be just that, a back bencher in Parliament, far from the running for Downing Street.

Oga Danfo you are right,i am just recovery now as your curse is deep into North London. But respect to Spurs they hold their own ,so why did you choose to curse both north London club and allow Klopp win it?Thanks for hand Liverpool the victory as it really mark a wonderful season for them.I hope you will not be lifting the curse you put on Pep in CLdanfo driver wrote:Guys how far. Now that the dust has settled the players and coaches of THFC deserve a massive "well done". Poch eked as much as he could - more than is reasonable - from a squad that was under pressure in diverse ways throughout the season. A very high number of wins in the league - much needed because we lost so many games. Now Poch needs to be backed with serious cash to ensure that progress continues. COYS!!
