Hats off to Matip

Post by bamenda boy »

One of the most unsung heroes for Liverpool this season. Everyone seems to be give VVD all the credit for Liverpool's defensive revival, but Matip has barely put his foot wrong ever since he returned from injury.

I agree with this thread. Matip has sent Lovran to the bench for good.

Matip is the guy that puts in a shift every game, while Van Dijk strolls around.

Well said Bamenda....

A real big loss for Cameroon...
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

Matip is a trash defender. Its been Van Dyke holding that Liverpool D down all on his own.

Matip is a wonderful donkey to have as a defensive partner.. VVD plays better with Matip, vs VVD with Lovren.. I would have Matip type defenders any day any time.. Check JT with Ricardo Carvalho.. When Carvalho left, we began to see cracks in Terry.. each mega CB needs a humble, hardworking donkey..

Cameroon coaches chose some donkeys from the Cech League , Tunisian League, Cameroon second division league and China to play ahead of him.
So, they invite Matip to come for a game, then bench him ahead of guys who will sh*& in the pans at the sight of some dummy strikers ...
Matip would be starting for Germany tomorrow, if he was eligible.
