Sikiru Alimi pulled a goal back for Lobi Stars a minute before the hour mark following a beautiful cross from his strike partner Samad Kadiri.

It was Alimi ‘ s second goal in the Championship play-off.

Lobi Stars were however unable to find the all important equalising goal going down to their first defeat of the competition.

Six – time champions, Enyimba and Kano Pillars will clash in the day’s final fixture.

Earlier in the day, Akwa United beat FC IfeanyiUbah 2-1 to record their first win of the Championship play-off.

Yep! "They" killed us today...

First, "they" awarded Akwa United a shady PK, then "they" red carded Isiaka, and finally "they" gave Akwa United as much added time as they needed to grab an equalizer. "They" have come again o! LOL!

5. There are two games left for each team.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics

Do we have to wait for two more rounds of matches? They should end it now and declare the top team the champions!

The great Zee, unfortunately Silas sustained an ankle injury before the super 6 and has not featured in any of the matches.
Score is now Rangers 0 - 1 Pillars and we are a man down with Tope Olusesi given a second yellow in the 74th minute. YemiB’s juju is very potent. Seems the league title has slipped out of our hands, a pity after doing so well during the regular league.
