Implications of Egypt 2019 on the 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Post by Ayo Akinfe »

[1] At the moment, Nigeria is ranked third in Africa
[2] No doubt, we are going to be among the top five seeds ranked for the World Cup qualifiers when the draw comes out
[3] Currently, the five top ranked African sides are Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco and DR Congo
[4] I can see DR Congo and Morocco and DR Congo falling out of the rankings and being replaced by Algeria and one of Ghana/Cameroon/Ivory Coast/Egypt
[5] Essentially, this means the first pot will be Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and maybe Ghana
[6] Pot Two could then include Cameroon, DR Congo, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Egypt
[7] Pot C could then include Mali, South Africa, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Uganda
[8] Pot D could then include Zimbabwe, Zambia, Benin, Madagascar, Angola
[9] Nigeria could potentially have a World Cup qualification group that includes Cameroon, South Africa and Madagascar
[10] We may face a round two of Egypt 19 soon. Make no doubt about it, these guys will be out for vengeance.

... exactly! Let's worry and deal with such when the time comes. For now, let's get ready for tomorrow's match with Algeria

...many folks, Nigerians that is, don't like the SE progress so far. They make money when we fail.
