No I wasn’t aware but have things changed? Have the Slovenian and Latvian leagues miraculously become top ten leagues in World or European Football?

Oga, who said latvia and slovenia are the top 10 leagues. The article includes those in Slovenia and latvia but have strong possibilities of been snapped up by the top 10.

Are u aware that Samuel Kalu moved from Slovakia to Gent? Same with Simon Moses. Philip Azanga also left for Gent from the same club.

Yea, I had the same problem as you. The thread title and the first sentence are definitive but the story for the players in those backwater leagues is speculative, i.e. they are expected to move to a big league but not yet there.
Perhaps the thread starter should reflect this speculation in the thread title and intro.
1-6 are already in those leagues as a result of promotion or a done transfer deal.

Chidera Ejike to Heerenveen

https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_n ... ?nid=32886

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Dutch Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen and Valerenga have reached an agreement for the transfer of highly-rated Nigerian winger Chidera Ejike.

Ejike will undergo a medical at SC Heerenveen as from Monday, July 15 ahead of his unveiling.

Although a club-to-club agreement has been reached, there are still a few details to be sorted out between Heerenveen and Ejike which has to do with the length of contract.

Having said that, the Gee-Lec Football Academy product is expected to put pen to paper on at least a four-year deal.

Dubbed the Nigerian Iniesta back in his homeland, the 21-year-old trialed at Liverpool and was courted by Premier League champions Manchester City prior to his move to Valerenga in March 2017.

Regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Norwegian football, he has scored 15 goals in 69 appearances across all competitions for Valerenga.

Below are faces that we would be seeing in the Top 10 leagues in Europe Next season.

This list would be updated regularly.

1. Suleiman Abdullai (Union Berling, BUndesliga):Last season, played 19 matches for his club starting 12, and helping them gain promotion to the Bundesliga. Referred to as a powerful and physical striker, he could just win a starting shirt.

2. Ramon Azeez (Granada, Spain): Played in the Laliga 3yrs ago and has won promotion back to Lalilga with Granada which he joined this past season.

3. Stephen Odey (Genk, Belgium from FC Zurich, SWi): Just moved the move form Tier 3 swiss league and would be appearing in the Champions League.

4. Junior Pius (ROyal Antwerp, Belgium from Paco, Portugal (D2)): Just made a move to Antwerp and he would be in the Europa. Was one of the most outstanding defenders in Portuguese division 2 where he played on loan from Portuguese div side, Tondela. He led Paco to winning the league and gaining promotino to the top division. But he has said he is 80% sure of leaving Paco for other Premiership side. He was a former Porto B player.

5. Valentine Ozornwafor (Gala, Turkey): The U20 Defender just signed the dotted lines for Gala from Emyimba.

6. Reuben Yem (Gent, Belgium): HE's moved has been confirmed after joining them initially in 2017 but loaned out to trecin.

7. Olarenwaju Kehinde (Denizlispo, Turkey): THis striker scored 10goals leading his team to winning the league and automatic promotion to Turkish Top flight.

8. Blessing olabitan Muyiwa (Tambov, Russia): would be playing in the Russian premier League next season after his team, Tambov, gained promotion. He played the first leg Vs Libya U23.

9. Tom Dele-Bashiru (Man city U23, England): THe Man City U23 who made the bench for the main team once 2 seasons back, would be playing in a Top div side as he didnt renew his contract with Man city. There are many suitors from the Top 5 leagues pushing for his signature with Atalanta in the Serie A leading in the chase so far.

10. Innocent Bonke (Malmo, Sweden): Bonke has taken Sweden by storm and has won 2 MOTM in the last 2 matches. A very tough Defensve midfielder with delightful passes and skills, he's has many suitors from teams in the Top 5 league and is highly likely to this transfer window

MENTIONS
1. A. Zubairu (Trecin, Slovania): very skillful but small player, he is referred to as the new Ngolo Kante and can operate from both DM and CM position. Has been in outstanding form past season and has an endless list of top teams on his chase. WOuld definitely make a move this season. He's another Coach Bros creation.

2. Lukman Zakari (Metta, Latvia): Member of the 2015 U17 WC winning Eaglets, he has been the Top 3 players in Latvia and has many suitors from the Top 10 Leagues of Europe. Had an offer from top Tunisian side that was rejected by Metta but he is 80% guaranteed to make the move this transfer window.

I reported on this guy all through last season and he was one of the top 8 players in sweden. Now he's moved to a technical league and top 10 leagues of europe. More competition at leftback.

Former CHAN Eagles Captain Chima Akas Joins Portuguese Side Belenenses

https://owngoalnigeria.com/2019/08/08/f ... elenenses/

Chima Akas has switched clubs in Europe for the first time after concluding switch from Swedish side Kalmar FF to Portuguese top division side Belenenses, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Loading...
The 25 year old has been on the books of Swedish side Kalmar for a year and half and made 31 league appearances with six coming this season which just got underway while he made 25 in his debut season at the club.

Akas signed a three years deal with the option of another with the club confirming his ability to play as a central defender aside his role as a left full back as part of the reason why he was signed.

He captained the Nigeria B team before his sojourn to Europe and also play at the 2016 Africa Nations Championship played by domestic players in various African leagues.

While in Nigeria he represented Sharks, Akwa United and Enyimba before leaving on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal at the Aba club in the off season of 2018.

It will be good to have another left footed option at LB rather than playing Aina or Ebuehi as we've done in the past.

On Ejike, based on this game he's a decent skillful player, but don't quite think he's ready for SE yet. He's a lightweight and with all his dribbling and driving he never really created many, if any, credible chances. He put his head down and ran almost every time but the penetration just wasn't there as he doesn't have lightening speed like a Musa, Onyekuru or Kalu so he would get dispossessed at times or end up just passing (or being driven) backwards at others. His passing was decent and he see's spaces but his incisive passes they weren't as clean and accurate as you would like. A couple of times where with a better angled ball he would have put his teammate in, but got cut out b/c it wasn't as precise as it needed to be. He did have one fortuitous chance cleared off the line after a defensive half-clearance landed at his foot on the edge of the 18 with the defense at sixes but unfortunately his accurate low shot was cleared off the line.

He played about 76 minutes, started out behind the striker for most of the first half but was then switched to the wing as he wasn't so effective there, but then did even less after the switch. I think he needs a season or two in the Dutch league to improve his incisiveness and become a more efficient player and he also needs increase his overall work rate without the ball in order to make the step up.

Below is how our players fared this season in Europe and their quality level.

I would be doing this monthly rather than weekly like I "tried" to do last season. The cut of date was 30th Sept so matches from Oct not covered.

I have also done away with Tier 3 leagues. NIgeria has gone past that this season. Only tier 3 teams covered are the known European team like Partizan, Rosenborg etc.

There are 9 players that can get into Top quality bracket without transfering. They just need to start playing regularly fir their clubs or get fit from long term injuries like Ebuehi.

67 Total number of players covered.

12 players in the Top Quality/ World Class bracket.
25 players in the Quality Bracket.
10 players in good form.
15 players in terrible form or very backwater leagues.
5 players (5) injured or retired from national team.

This is a color scheme of Top Nigerian Players, League quality and club performance.
*Top Quality or World Class! Very Good standing (Top 5 Leagues and Pedigree teasms in CL - Porto, Gala, etc): Must also Play regularly for their clubs
*Quality! (Next 5 leagues - Belgium, Dutch, Portugal, Turkey, Russia): Must play regularly.
Also includes super Subs in Green category.

*Good form/ Top Form. Average to good standing. Division 2 players in SE (like Etebo) and known European teams in Tier 3 leagues like Partizan, Rosenburg. Must Play regularly.
Also includes supersubs from Blue Category and chronic bench warmers in Green Category

*. Disappointing/ Very Disappointing: LOW Leagues and unrated.(CHina, Saudi, Egypt, Somalia)
Hopelessly on bench.

Injured: Leg temporary decommissioned

END OF 2018/19 SEASON

CURRENT NIGERIAN SQUAD (Vs Brazil squad list)

Goalkeepers:
1.Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Enyimba) - hmmmm
3.Francis Uzoho (Anorthosis/Cyprus) - Playing in lowly Cyprus but atleast, he's getting game time.
3. Maduka Okoye - Div4 player. Nuff said

Defenders:

4. Kenneth Omeruo (CD Leganes /La Liga) - Top Quality. PLayed most matches for Leganes since he got back to playing. Hasnt been outstanding as last season though.
5.Leon Balogun (Brighton Hove Albion/ENG) - Suffering from a worse form of Kanuism.
6. Troost Ekong (Udinese/Serie A) - Top Quality. He's bossing this league. Had a massive game against AC and just keeps playing like a Serie A veteran. HE WOULD END UP IN THE TOP 4 in the Top 4 leagues Very very soon.
7. Ola Aina (Torino, Serie A) - Top Quality. Continued from where he left off last season. Started slow but he's picking up fast.
8.Jamilu Colins (Paderborn/ Bundes 2/ GER) - Top Quality. Jamilu has been the best thing in Paderborn this season. this season, he has the record of most successful dribbles in a match, potential goal of the season and made the team of the week this past weekend. If he remains consistent all season, he'll be at Bayern or Dortmund next season.
9.Semi Ajayi (Rotherham/ CHamp/ ENG) - Quality. 2 goals. Clearly the best defender in the championship making team of the week. The fans feel he is West broms most important player. https://owngoalnigeria.com/2019/09/28/h ... -over-qpr/. At this rate, he would be in the EPL by mid-season or next season.
10.Chidozie Awaziem (FC Porto/POR) to (Leganes/Laliga - Loan) - Top Quality. Gets to Leganes and walks into the starting 11 after 1/2weeks. Boy is destined for greatness. He either gets his starting shirt at Porto or moves permanently to a team in the Top 5. Its clear he wouldnt do one more season on loan.
11. Shehu Abdullahi (Bursaspor/TUR)- Fell to turkish D1 with his team. If he doesnt move by soon, he should kiss the SE goodbye.

Midfielders:
12.Joe Aribo (Rangers, Scotland - Europa) - Quality. From League One to stardom. His the engine room of this Rangers team. If Rangers was in the CL, he would have been rated top quality.
13.Anderson Esiti (PAOK, Greece) - Quality. Plays for Greek champions but His team got knocked out from the CL qualifiers. He's started 95% of PAOK's matched and he's been his usual self.
14.Oghenekaro Etebo (Stoke City - Championship) - Good form. 2 goals. That Etebo remains in the Championship is a huge dissapointment. He's been the best thing at Stoke making the Team of the week for the last round of games. I expect he'll move by Mid-season.
15.Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City/ENG) - WORLD CLASS. 2 goals. Nothing to say. He should be in Real, juve, Bayern or Barca by next season.
16.Alex Iwobi (Everton/EPL) - Top Quality.1 goal. Made a last day move to Everton. Had no preseason but 3/4 games after, he's become a starter for the Evertonians.
17.Ramon Azeez (Granada, Laliga) - Quality. Started off on the bench but slowly and steadily winning that starting shirt (off and on). next few games would tell if he's tied it down.

Forwards:
18.Henry Onyekuru (AS Monaco, Lique 1) - Quality. Started his first 2 games then slowly blended into the bench mainly becuase the coach switched to a 3-5-2 doing away with out and out wingers.
19.Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux, Lique 1 France) - Top Quality. 3 Goals. highest dribbler in Europe so far. Tho his success rate is about 55/60%. Kalu has been the best player for bordeaux who are 7th on the table.
20.Simon Moses (Levante, Laliga on loan to Nantes, Lique 1) - Top Quality1 goal so far. Gets his papers sorted, played his first game for Nantes and scores and ever since his been a regular starter for 3rd placed Nantes.
21.Victor OSimhem (Lille, Lique 1 - Champions League) - Top Quality.6 goals. He's taken Europe by storm. If he keeps this up all season, he'll end up in the Big teams in the Top 4 leagues.
22.Paul Onuachi (Genk, BEL - Champions League) - Quality.2 goals. Got in last minute, wins a starting shirt and has started scoring. Paul would end up been the top 3 highest goal scorers in the league this season. He does not get a Top Quality rating yet cause he's been on bench for CL games.
23.Emmanuel Dennis (Club Brugge, Bel - Champions League) - Quality.2 goals. 1 in CL. Started most games this season and has been one of the 3 best players in the team.
24.Peter Olayinka (Slavia Parague, Czech - Champions League) - Quality.3 goals. 1 in CL.A starter with his team, he's had top games in the CL. He's rated quality because his in a Tier 3 league but also in the CL.
25. Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal, LALIGA) - Top Quality.2 Goals in league. Boy wonder.

ON THE RADAR

1.David Nwokolor (SKF Sered/ Slovakia) -
2. Afelokhai
3. Dele Alampasu: the guy don loss o.
4.Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United/RSA - Kaizer/RSA) -

Defence
5. .Chima Akas (Belenses, Portugal): - Quality. The left back moved to portugal this season after a massive season in Sweden. Has started most of their games.
6. Bryan Idowu (Lokomotiv Moscow/RUS)- Good form. Suffers looooong spells on the bench this season but starts when his bencher suffers an injury or suspension.
7.Tyronne Ebuehi (Benfica/POR) - Injury has totally slowed him down for a whole season. suffered a relapse this season, but back to fitness. Still trying to get back to footballing fitness.
8. Junior Pius (Royal Antwerp/ Bel - Europa) - Former Porto Youth teamer has been seriously slowed down in his career by Injury and crime. Was a beast last season in the portuguese D1 and helped win them promotion to the Prem. Moved to Royal Antwerp, came from the bench twice, started in Europa league match and had a clash of knee with an opponent in the Europa which has left him out and injured till date. Watch out for this kid. He is extremely talented, very good ball skills, tall, athletic and a hard tackler.
9. Zaidu Sanusi - Good form/ Average.Moved to Portuguese Prem from D2. Was one of the best players in the league. the former left winger was converted to CD and LB in his last team and has continued in this new team. Made the bench in most of their matches starting 1 and coming in as a sub in another.

Midfield
10. Tom Dele-Bashiru (Watford, EPL)- Dissapointing.Moving to Watford from Man city2, he was expected to be a first team member this season but has not been listed except playing in the EFL.
11. Mikel Agu (Vitória Sport Clube, Portugal) - Quality. Moved this summer to Europa League side, Vitoria and ever since he came off injury, he's posted top notch performances both in the Portuguese league (Voted MOTM and made Team of the Week) and Europa.
12. Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor/TUR) - Been out injured since January.
13. Ajagun (Korkijk, Belgium) - Quality. He's back! After a bench filled 1st half of 2018/19 season, he moved to Cyprus on loan for the rest of the season. Returned back to Korkijk this season and started every match for them.
14. Uche Agbo (Standard Liege, Belgium) - Dissapointing. After a torrid 2018/19 season at Liege, he moved to now relegated Rayo Vallencano in Laliga but played last few matches becuase he was out with severe illness and then injury. MOved to Braga this season and made bench just 1.
15. Ahmed Isaiah (Gil Vicente, Portugal) - Disappointing. This Attacking Midfielder Played 90% of GIl's matches last season in the lower Division and won them a promotion to the top. Made the bench for all their games but not kicked one ball.
16. Azubuike Okechukwu (Basaksehir, Turkey) - Quality. Made a move this season to the 2nd runnerup in the Turkish league last season. Started more matches than he was on bench and has actually come in as a sub in majority of the matches he didnt start. Also started in the CL qualifiers and currently campaigning in the Europa. Every match he's played, he's been Top 3 for his team. Expected to tie down a permanently starting shirt, sooner than later.
17. Obiora Nwankwio (Boavista, Portugal) - Quality. Started majority of his team's game this season and when he was on bench, he always came in.
18. usman mohammed (Tambov, Russia) - Dissapointing.
Started 1 match for the newly promoted Russian side and chopped bench for the rest. Same feat he performed last season in Norway.
19. Hamdi Akujobi (Herenveen, Netherlands) - Dissapointing. this young lad broke into the first team this season after 1 season in the youth team, consistently making the bench, came in as a sub in 1 but unfortunately hasnt started 1 match. Hopefully, as the season progresses, he would win a starting shirt or atleast have a super sub role.

Attack
20. Anthony Ujah (Union Berlin, Bundesliga - Germany) -1 goals in the league. 1 in Domestic cup.Quality. MOved from Mainz this season, He's been oscillating between the bench and starting. Lets see if he can keep and improve on his quality rating with goals and more starting shirt.

27. Kelechi Iheanacho(Leicester City/ENG) - Disappointing. I dunno whats going on with this guy. He needs to move to France or Germany by mid-season.

29. Chuba Akpom (Paok) - Quality. 2 GOals. 2 in Domestic cup. 1 in CL qualifiers. Chuba is the King of PAOK and rightfully so. PAOK went through last season unbeaten and theyve continued with that feat this season.
30. Kayode Larry (Gaziantep, Turkey) - Quality. After a very dissapointing season at Ukraine and also in the Laliga (before Ukraine), he has moved to tueky and seem to be doing well. Good luck to him.
31. Paul Mukairu (Antalyaspor, Turkey) - Quality. 1 GOal. - 19yr old Mukairu is the Chukwueze of the Turkish league this season. Was in the youth team last season and this season took the league by storm. got subbed into the game in his first match and ever since, owns the starting shirt. He might not be in Turkey for long. When i did the battle series before the league commenced, I didnt think he would even be given first team training chance.
32. SYlvester Igboun (Dynamo Moscow, RUSSIA) - Quality. STarted as usual 2 Goals Was a hit last season in the Russian league, Moved to Dynamo Moscow this season, and has been a hit.
33. Imoh Ezekiel (Korkijk, Belgium) - Disappointing.0 GOals. Hardly comes off the bench
34. Chidera Ejuke (Valarenga,NOR) - Top form.4 GOals. started 7 out of 8 league games. Made team of the week 3 times. He is also the best dribbler from NIgeria with a minimum of 4 dribbles per match with 97-100% success rate. His
35. Anthony Nwaekaeme (Trabzonspor, Turkey) - 1 goals in the League/ 1 in Domestic cup.Quality. The man with the hammer head. Was hot last season, probably top 5 hottest attackers in Turkey and this season, has continued where he left off.
36. Blessing olabitan Muyiwa (Tambov, Russia) - 1 goals in the League/ 1 in Domestic cup.Quality. Won Promotion to the Prem league with Tambov starting majority of their matches. This season he hasnt started any match but has been a supersub.

41. Sarenren Bazee (Ausburg, Bundesliga) - Trained once with Ausburg II. Seems his injury is still on.

43. Hilary Gong (Vitesse, Dutch League) - Came in against Ajax in the first game of the season and got injured again. Na wa o. Na from village?

nfachairman,

Thanks for this important update. Please can you stop using YELLOW. It isn't readable. Any other color should do.

Looks to be improving as the season progresses.

nfachairman,

It really will be a shame if Bazee never plays for Nigeria with his ongoing injury issues that do not seem to abate. Na real waa.
