The 44-year-old has left the Silkmen after eight months in charge of the Sky Bet League Two club.

He guided them to EFL security on the final day of last season, losing just two of their last 10 games, after being seven points off safety when he took charge in November.

Plenty of teams in the upper divisions that would do well to hire him.
BUT WILL THEY?
Of course not.

3 games

- 1 loss
- 2 goalless draws.
They played most of this game with a man advantage. The team also needs more experienced players, right now they have Nasri as captain because everyone else is young.
:rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: They probably have Nasri as captain because Kompany is his friend. Kompany also brought Bellamy, another of his friend, to be youth team chairman. Thats what happens when you think nepotism is the way forward. Imagine having Nasri as your captain. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

By the way, isnt Adrien Trebel their captain?

And Anderletch is the most powerful club in the country, excuses of "everyone else is young," is a bit laughable.[/quote

This one had the opportunity of a lifetime. Rather than do things properly and grab this opportunity with everything he has, he started employing his mentally unstable friends all over the club. smh.

Indeed they did, Simon Davies’ first game in charge. Komoany is no longer Gaffer. As for bringing in Nasri, Chadli, many would argue that was experienced heads on the cheap. Could Anderlecht have acquired two internationals (one former), of similar pedigree, elsewhere, for the same outlay? Kemal Roofe could be a decent signing. The Bellamy appointment, though bizarre, probably had something to do with Simon Davies, who was deemed of reasonable clout by the City hierarchy to oversee academy development. A case of two Welshman makes a valley perhaps.

Early days for Anderlecht, one must reference the physical and professional immaturity of their team in appraisal. Some of the faces look prepubescent!

Do you remember when Campbell left spurs for Arsenal? While spurs found a top position for Ledley King, how come Arsenal has not considered Campbell? Afterall, Wenger retired and there was an opening. Chelsea took a gamble on Lampard, Man Utd on Ole, why didnt Arsenal take one on Campbell? Henry had to go to Monaco to get a shot!

Why has Arsenal refused to give ex-black players a shot, while they give a shot to white Tony Adams?

There have also been many Arsenal fans calling for the hiring of white Marc Overmars. Are you guys going to call for the hiring of black Sol?
