Nigeria vs Cape Verde LIVE now on ESPN+

Post by bushboy »

I am watching. I like the way Imama's teams play. Good pasding and possession. He just doesn't have the players to deliver the final killer pass.
I have faith me will do well with the Olympic team with his full compliment of all our foreign based talents.
Bushboy's bushmen : 1.Isaac Success 2. Terem Moffi 3. Victor Boniface 4. Samuel Omorodion. 5. Samson Tijani. 6. Rafiu Durosinmi.
Who will be next?

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

They lost again 3-2 on penalties to Cape Verde.
What a useless bunch!

This Coach (Aman...) has lost his last 3 games he was in charge. Twice to Togo and once to Cape Verde.
What value does he bring to the SE and why on earth is he an SE coach?

It wasn’t a great game for the team but it wasn’t that poor either...
There are glimpses of a good team there but they lack coordination in the final third.

It was a patchy game on a poor pitch...
But the team controlled enough of the game to win, until a late CK equalizer by Cape Verde.

Back to the drawing board...
But doubtful they can qualify for the Olympics without a considerable number of foreign-based players.

Imana is thought to be one of the top local coaches and his profile is certainly up there, maybe not always for the right reasons.
He won the title with Rangers just a few short years ago.

The guy has been very unimpressive at the national team level.
Of the seven games he has been in charge for the U23 team, he lost five(5) - Algeria, Sudan, Togo (x2) and Cape Verde.
The 2 he won were at home.
His competence should really be called to question as this is a scandalous performance on his part.

That is one of the coaches to replace Rohr.

This just exposes the deficiencies in the NFF recruiting a domestic coach.
With too many subjective decisions and corruption in the NFF, what do we expect?

The NFF want to save money for their coffers, the NFF isn’t a professionally run organisation and so they don’t know how to make money without affecting staff and players but at least with a coach that can’t beat Togo’s reserves in two matches and Cape Verde there should be no complaints!

I thought we were not allowed to say anything about Nigetia.

According to some CE members, yes. At this rate, after two games and two loses, they will be calling for his head
