This is my 1st time watching this team and must say they seem very raw compared to our previous teams.

I recall many saying the same of the 2015 team...
After they struggled in Niger and the group phase of the WC.

This one is slipping away but it doesn't count. We still win the group.

So Bichi is the only player that is yet to feature for Nigeria. Maybe he will get his chance in the next match.

This team has glaring problems:
Defense has been leaking like a sieve and they cannot seem to score.
Frustrating is the fact that they had more than enough opportunities to bury the Australians, but selfish play and glory-hunting did them in. Some of them look like they were playing together for the first time.
Truth is: after 3 games, they really don't look the part to go far in this competition.

The boys tried their best but I am afraid to say, there are too many poor players in this team. Saying that, we had 34 shots on goal against Australia's 11.

Thank God we topped the group. Lets see how they perform against better opposition in the next round.

First, you were talking about the players and NOT the team...
Furthermore, opinions are like... so that you THINK the team does not really say much.

I suspect he is not as good as those on the pitch.

We will be playing a third-placed team...
So doubtful we'll meet "better" teams until the latter rounds.

This...
Same problem as in Tanzania U17 AFCON.

However, they have scored the MOST goals in the competition thus far...
The team made FOUR changes and lost to a defensive horror and a dodgy PK.

Correct. Meant to say knockout phase.

its a good loss; an unhealthy man is the man who hay yet to experience all ranges of emotion.
make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."

Not necessarily...

The 2015 team that earned Amuneke kudos as a coach went through pretty much the same patch...
In fact, its 1-2 loss to Croatia in the last group game was WORSE - outshot about 23-7 and 2x on CKs.

Difficult to make rational and reasonable evaluations of a bunch of nervous kids until after the tourney.

Nothing to do with training. Watching these boys, I really suspect they are playing to impress scouts. Their selfish play and trying to overdo things just makes them look bad. It is shocking. But hey they are 17 year olds who probably believe this is their best opportunity to be the next Osimhen.
My assessment had been that these set of U-17 is a reflection of what's ailing our Nigeria today. Mediocrity! I suspect they left the talents at home because some of these offered more bribes than the real talents at home. What a shame! No real baller amongst them; may be say Amoo.
The coaches must be investigated and be shown the ways out of anything to do with coaching or footballing in Nigeria. This proves that Amuneke was responsible for the potency of the Nigerian squad that won the Junior World Cup that year.
Enough said.
