Plateau united champions, Enyimba is 2nd and Rivers united third. The league could resume in October.

Poorly attended games

No or little revenue from TV

Government money has dried up due to oil crash.

Why wouldn't they cancel the rest of the season?
Winners do it the right way.

Purity,

Has the Sports Ministry now completely 'captured' the NFF? What is going on? Have we returned to the era of Alhaji Galadima?

Comrade YemiB, I hope you read the part that said...”no relegation, no promotion”? So you are very happy for another year of second class footy for your blank shooters? Anyway, you guys never had a chance and this gives you a good reason to remain where you are.

Yes, It is the NFF that has succumbed as an appendage to the Sports ministry. Pinnick does not want to be on the bad books of Sunday Dare. He wants to have a smooth second term in terms of governance.

I think he Pinnick is taking his loyalty to Sunday Dare too far.. Yes i agree, the Federal Govt still provides bulk of the funds needed for AFCON and World cup qualifiers, but he needs to administer the NFF with some independence and common sense.

He does not need Sunday Dare to tell him everything.. This is getting ridiculous to say the least.

What a shame. So the fight for NFF's independence has been short circuited when it seemed that the fight may well be won in the near future. We will remember this period with regret.

Nigeria league is in deep trouble if this goes on. South Africa has decided to continue with its league with strong health and safety guideline. NPFL without any sponsors or money to run the league is waiting for FG to announce ease of lockdown restriction.
