Moses rewarded with a start today vs Brescia and boy did he have a great game, was a thorn in the left backs behind all game, involved in the first goal and won the PK for the second, almost scored with a left footed curler. Bobo was on fire!

Azeez: "I was born in England so I'm technically English but my mum is Spanish & my dad is Nigerian so I've got all 3 nationalities in me. I have always believed that I have to keep my options open. To play for any country is a dream that any child has

Miguel Azeez: "I'm never satisfied with what I do. If there is more to do then I will do it. I'm always first to arrive at training & last to leave & do any extras I can to make myself the best possible player I can be. That has to be your mindset if you want to be the very best"
Make good thinking a priority so that you can make Godly placement a possibility.

Moses doing the biz for Inter. Just won them a penalty. Great tenacity.

Earned his team a point.

Nigeria's Top 20 players in the 2019/2020 season.

1. Victor OSimhem (Lille, Lique 1 - Champions League) - WOrld CLass. Lille best player of the season. Had a mad season scoring 16 goals this season with 2 in the CL. NOw purchased by Napoli for 80m. how many players in this world get bought for 80m?

Video - All 31goals and assist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_6cRvjWes8&t=370s

2. Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City/ENG) - WORLD CLASS. If not that Osimhem is a striker with goals, Ndidi should be first on this list. Dude was Leicester's backbone this season and when he was injured, the result is Leicester ending up 5th on the legaue table. Best DM in the EPL and the only signing left for Man UTD to be a potential league and CL winning team.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63C_Tb3c0cI&vl=en

3. Simon Moses (Levante, Laliga on loan to Nantes, Lique 1) - Top Quality 8 goals, 5 assist, Won best player in Nantes.

Not many players get rave reviews from top coaches. https://www.ligue1.com/Articles/NEWS/20 ... per-eagles

4. Jamilu Colins (Paderborn/ Bundes 2/ GER) - Top Quality. Panderborn's best player and one of the best leftbacks (if not the best) in Bundesliga according to the stats. He even has one of the best dribbling stats in the whole Bundesliga (he used to be a left winfer).

Collins from the perspective of Germans football writers: https://releasetheknappen.com/2020/03/1 ... u-collins/

Schalke, newscatle, fulham and more are interested in his services: https://www.transfermarkt.com/exclusive ... ews/356736

2018/19 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQi51te ... e=youtu.be

5. Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal, LALIGA) - TOP Quality.4 Goals in league. Boy wonder. Was been used more off the bench this season then exploded after the Covid19 break.I noticed that this season, the drasically reduced his dribbling and seems the coach must have insturcted him to reduce his take ons. This is a bad for a player like Samu. Its just like trying to curtail Messi's take ons. These players thrve on dribbling and freedom to destroy. Hopefully, Emery helps him explode next season.

Video - 10/20 skills and goals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ7Rxk4-1ZU

6. Troost Ekong (Udinese/Serie A) - Top Quality. Always committed Ekong. He was a rock in Udinese defense though he suffered a loss of form by midseason. Bounced back and capped off the season with a commanding display over Juve. He has 1 more year to master the art of defending from the Italians and he wuld be ready for the big stage.

Video - The art of Long passing (19/20): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu7v0lBtcQ0

7. Kenneth Omeruo (CD Leganes /La Liga) - Top Quality. STarted all Leganes matches when he was fit. Injury has become his biggest issue in the past year and half. I doubt he woudl go down with Leganes. He is good for any team in the Top 5 leagues.

8. Chidozie Awaziem (FC Porto/POR) to (Leganes/Laliga - Loan) - Top Quality. STarted most of Leganes matches when not suspended. Awaziem would definitely remain in the Top 5 leagues. There are rumours of Sevilla coming in for him.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4i-AbjMuYu8

9. Chidera Ejuke (Herenveen, Netherlands) - Quality. Either the best or 2nd best player in the Dutch league this season. He has at most, one more season to make it to the big leagues

The magician: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-_5tKYBxko&t=65s

10. Cyril Dessers (Heracles, Netherlands) - Quality. Joint highest goal scorer in the league with 18 goals in all competitions. Made a move to a bigger club with better champions league prospect. Still young at 25, he could still end up in the big leagues 2yrs from now.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBjGIXKVLB8

11.Joe Aribo (Rangers, Scotland - Europa) - Quality. Rangers young player of the season. and Rangers best goal of the season. Aribo is a skillful, strong and energetic player with Vision. By mid season, he had moved to the number 10 role, left wing (and occasional leftback). He's manager Steven Gerard has said Aribo has all it takes to be a World class midfielder. No better endorsement can come from a world class midfielder himself.

If Aribo keeps his performance up this season, he wuold def end up in the EPL by Jan and probably knock off Iwobi as NIgeria's Number 10 (position wise).

Video - Is Joe aribo the most skillful Midfielder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixnQayNbdEk

12. Kinsley Ehizibue- Top Quality. Fatest player in the Bundesliga clocking a speed of 35.85km/h. He had a good season with 29 starts, and 1 goal.

Read more on him here: https://thesupersub.com/kingsley-ehizibue-who-what-why/

13. Kelechi Iheanacho(Leicester City/ENG) - Quality. started the season in a very poor shape. not even making the bench and before Mid-season, he started coming back to reckoning and became almost a sure banker starter for Brendan either as a replacement fr Vardy or a twin striker. MOst of the EPL games he played, he delivered and probably was the most dangerous attacker on the pitch for Leicester.

Kelechi has many suitors in the EPL and I am glad to say NACHO IS BACK!

14. Zaidu Sanusi - Quality. This boy is the real deal. A beast. BEST LEFT BACK IN PORTUGAL. He started out in Portugal as a left winger but was soon moved to play as left back and Central Defense. He is very strong, energetic, extremely fast and skillful.

Already there's news out there that he would be snapped up by Porto or a Bundesliga team. A big move is imminent especially since he was signed up 3months ago by ROnaldo's agent.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Cm4_T6iXU

15. Ola Aina (Torino, Serie A) - Top Quality. Was slowed down by injury. Ola has an injury problem and its affecting his career. he's got so much potentials. Played 32 but started over 20 matches and played well in most.

16. Emmanuel Dennis (Club Brugge, Bel - Champions League) - Top Quality. 9 goals including CL and Europa. Won the Belgian league. Hot kid on the block.Fantastic dribbler. made a mark in the CL especially against Real. Should move to a bigger club next season. we hearing of Dortmund, Napoli, Leeds, Atalanta and co. We wait.
Video - 2018/19 highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxszQkL_Drk
Wonderful goal this season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OAOiN01y_A

17. Simy Nwankwo (Crotone, Serie A- Promoted) - Top Quality. 20 goals. He's back in Serie A, lifting his team with his goals. He would be a sure starter next season. For gaining protion to one of the best leagues in the world, he's rated Top Quallity.

18. Paul Onuachi (Genk, BEL - Champions League) - Quality.10 goals. Joined Genk late. Finally tied down a starting shirt at Genk. Had a good showing in the Champions League. He would own the league next season.

19. Semi Ajayi (WestBrom/ EPL - Promoted) - Top Quality. 5 goals. BEst defender in the Championship. WOuld be an EPL player next season and I'm sure he would be huge in that league. He's finally showing the potential Arsenal saw in him. For gaining protion to one of the best leagues in the world, he's rated Top Quallity.

Video - Appreciate Semi;s technique 18/19: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjPoQB5 ... e=youtu.be

20. Alex Iwobi (Everton/EPL) - Quality. 1 goal. Started about half of evertons matches and got subbed out in most of them. He has been underwhelmig this season. Iwobi needs to finnaly wake up.

Dude was Leicester's backbone this season and when he was injured, the result is Leicester ending up 5th on the legaue table. Best DM in the EPL and the only signing left for Man UTD to be a potential league and CL winning team.

*Omeruo started more games than Awaziem even though Omeruo was injured several times.
*Omeruo was rock solid in most games he played in
*According to whoscored. sofascore, etc, Omeruo total score for the season is 6.85 and Awaziem 6.72

Omeruo and Awaziem play in a far superior league than Aribo and they were both rock solid in the Laliga.

Explain why Onuachu ahead of Sadiq Umar, who has more goals way more assists, scored CL goals, aside from you wanting to prove you were right about the basketball player?

Hot kid on the block.Fantastic dribbler. made a mark in the CL especially against Real. Should move to a bigger club next season. we hearing of Dortmund, Napoli, Leeds, Atalanta and co. We wait.

Mentions
1. Oghenekaro Etebo (Getafe, Laliga loan from Stoke City - Championship) - Quality.
2. Anthony Nwaekaeme (Trabzonspor, Turkey) - Quality.13 goals.
3. Sadiq Umar (Partizan Belgrade, Serbia on loan from Roma, Seria A) - Quality.17 goals (5 in CL) and over 10 assists.
4. ighalo
5. Victor

   My only argument is how is it that Omeruo ranks over Awaziem or over Aribo?

*Omeruo started more games than Awaziem even though Omeruo was injured several times.
*Omeruo was rock solid in most games he played in
*According to whoscored. sofascore, etc, Omeruo total score for the season is 6.85 and Awaziem 6.72

Omeruo and Awaziem play in a far superior league than Aribo and they were both rock solid in the Laliga.
Explain why Onuachu ahead of Sadiq Umar, who has more goals way more assists, scored CL goals, aside from you wanting to prove you were right about the basketball player?
Im a huge fan of Sadiq but in hindsight im thinking he shodl be a lil higher.

firstly, Uefa ranks the Belgian League 8th and the Serbian League 19.

Onuachi was in the Champions League (down t group stage) but Sadiq played in the Europa.

So the battle for 18,19 and 20 position is betwwen paul, semi, etebo, ighalo, moses, Nwakaeme and sadiq.

Dont forget Nwakaeme was a beast in the Turkish league which is ranked 11th strongest league by UEFA

 Thanks for the explanation, its hard to make these kind of lists, I just personally prefer Sadiq over Paul, but I can see why you'd have him there. But as far as SE is concerned Sadiq needs to be given the same chance Paul and Simy have been given, just seems so unfair that he wouldn't, I think he'd fill in that tall striker role that Rohr seems to be looking for.

Re: End of Season Special: Nigeria's Top 20 players Oct/ Nov

Post by chief nfachairman »

This is the top 20 from the last 2 months (1st Oct to 30th Nov).

10 Top Quality Players (Ndidi not on the list)
10 Quality (Some play in top 5, as they start more games and score, Awoniyi, maja, etc, they should be in the TOp quality bracket.

Nigeria needs atleast 11 World class players to be able to make it to the Semi in the WC. We are 10 players away from this.

1. Zaidu Sanusi (Porto, Portuguese League and Champions League) - Top Quality. Had a great spell so far wining MOTM and Champions league team of the week.
2. Tyrone ebuehi (FC Twente, Dutch League) - Quality. Moved to Netherlands on loan and he has been one of the best full backs in the league wining MOTM and making Team of the week/ month. With this form, he'll be back in Benfica and woudl ball in all the way.
3. Victor OSimhem (Napoli, Seria A) - World Class. 2 goals so far. He's settling in and begining to show what he's made of.
4. Simy Nwankwo (Crotone, Serie A) - TOp Quality. Started all matches in the Serie A so far. With 3 goals so far in the league. Expecting more in December.
5. Paul Onuachuu (Genk, Belgian League) - Quality. 12 goals in 13 games. Belgium and nigeria's best striker at the moment. If Belgium were to draw of a list of 25 invites to the national team, he would be on that list if he was Belgian.
6. Sammy Chukwueze (Villareal, Laliga) - WOrld CLass. Started out slow but hes been picking up and even delivered MOTM perfomance.
7. Simon Moses (Nantes, Lique 1) - Top Quality.
8. Ken Akpoguma (Hoffeinheim, Bundesliga) - Top Quality.: started most of the club's games and has aged very well.in most.
9. Frank onyeka (FC mid, Denmark + Champions League) - Quality.: nicknames Tank in Denmark is currently his clubs best player. He has also done well in the champions League. With this, SE now have 3 tireless machines in the midfield role.
10. Ademola lookman (FUlham, EPL ) - Top Quality.: has played well for Fulham except for his horror penalty. It's time for him to finally show his promise after attention catching moves to Everton and Leipzig. He needs to be the most outstanding player in lowly FUlham.
11. Semi Ajayi (West Brom, EPL) - Top Quality.: Started slow but gradually picking up in the EPL. Had a motm performance in one of the EPL games in Nov.
12. Kelz Iheanacho (Leicester, EPL) - Quality. : Hardly a starter in the league, he takes this position due to his exploits in the Europa League.
13. Samuel kalu (Bordeaux, Lique 1) - Top Quality.: Roared into this season but injury has been his problem. In the last game he played for Bordeaux, he was the number 10 of the team though he was playing from the left. The same type of impact from Messi.
14. Ola Aina (Fulham, EPL) - Top Quality.: balling. He needs to show that he actually belongs to the likes of Chelsea.
15. Leon Balogun (Rangers, Scottish League) - Quality.: Balled every game his played but hasnt played too many due to injury.
16. Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow, Russian League) - Quality.: hes had an on and off time with CSKA but has balled most of the time.
17. Kayode Ola (Sivaspor, Turkey) - Quality.: Kayode makes it here due to his 4 goals int he Europa so far.
18. Alex Iwobi (Everton, EPL) - Quality.: Iwobi started on a shakey note but pciked up in his last 2 games in November especially his first game deployed as a wingback.
19. Josh Maja (Bordeaux, Lique 1) - Quality.: Started games for Bordeaux and played well but the goals are not rolling in. He has 2 goals in the league so far.
20. Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin, Bundesliga) - Quality.: 1 goals so far for union berlin and has been a regular starter in the past 1 month. Hes slowly and steadily getting there.

Mention:
1. Awaziem (Boavista, Portuguese League): Hes balled in the month of Nov but didnt make the list due to good performances from players in better leagues.
2. Emmanuel Denis: Been okay both in the League and CL.
3. Terrem Moffi (Lorient, Lique 1): One goal in his first game. Started loads of matches but not clicked yet.
4. Maduka Okoye
5. Etebo
6. Aribo: Injury has made him play very few games in the past 2 months
7. Mathew (Sered, Slovakia): Loads of clean sheets, loads of MOTM, Loads of Keeper and player of the week award. Watch out for this kid. the next

NIGERIA'S TOP 20 IN THE 2020/21 SEASON

I found it difficult getting a 20 man list because Nigerians where just not great in Europe. And some that did well don't even play in Europe's Top 10 Leagues. This list shouldnt have gone past 13/14.

As we get closer to the worldcup, to do well, we need world class and top quality players. Hopefully, Awaziem, Umar, Aina and TOsin, Iwuala would move to top 5 league. WHile the likes of Ejuke, Aina, MOses, Iwobi, Kalu would show what they are made of.

This season we have:
8 Top Quality/ World class
11 Quality

As compared to 9 Top Quality, 17 Quality players in 2019/20 season

20. Tony NWakaeme(Trabzonspor, Turkey) - Good form: Top 5 players again in the lowly-rated Turkish league (number 13). At 32, the next phase for him would be cashing out in one of the money bag leagues.
19. Ola AIna (Watford, Championship) - Quality: Was a starter for relegated Fulham. PLayed half of the season on the left and right side of a 3 man defense. Gave a good account of himself but nothing spectacular. HIs parent club, TOrino, escaped relegation by whiskers. WHat next for Ola?
18. Simon Moses (Nantes, Lique 1) - Quality: Nantes battled relegation for a good part of the season while Simon was pretty inconsistent. He witness a revival towards the end of the season and was a major factor in Nantes escaping relegation.
17. Chidera Ejuke(CSKA, RUSSIA) - Quality: MOved to CSKA this season, started alot of matches but ended up doing sakamajay upandaan the field. Got benched for a bit but the new gaffer seems to be turning him to a potent war machine, displaying top notch performces and scoring goals in the last 5 games of the season. He also started games in the Europa league. I expect him to take the Russian League (rated 7th Best in Europe) and European league by storm next season.
16. Troost Ekong (Watford, Championship) - Quality: Made a shock move from the Serie A to teh CHampionship. It eventually paid off as Watford gained promotion to the EPL. Can't wait to see his performance next season in the EPL. It's time for him to show that he belongs to the big leagues.
15. Sadiq Umar (Almeria, Segunda, SPAIN) - Quality: He has taken alot of steps down in his career so far ending up with Almeria. With 20goals in the Segunda divsion, 2 in the domestic cup and 5 assists in so far, he has played himself into the Laliga even if his club misses promotion. See you in Laliga next season and kindly replicate this performance.
14. Tyrone Ebuehi (On Loan to Twente, Netherlands) - Quality:: HAd a top performance in the 8th Rated Dutch league though he doesnt make top 50 players in the league on sofascore, etc.
13. Chidozie Awaziem (FC Porto/POR) to (Boavista/ POR - Loan) - Top Quality.: Great season in the 6th Rated Portuguese league. He captained the side for atleast 10 games. unfortunately, Boavista battled relegation all through the season. Awaziem is bigger than the football he is currently playing. I expect him to make a move to a better league this season having had good seasons in Lique 1 and Laliga.
12. Peter Olayinka (Slava Praha, Czech - CHampions Leauge/Europa) - Quality:The Czech League is lowly rated but Olayinka makes this list based on his performance in the European competitions. He has played in European compeitions since 2016 with 3 Champions League Tournaments. He was top in the tournament and got himself some strong rumour to the Bundesliga. Hopefully, this is another player that should step up and add to the short list of quality Nigerian players.
11. Maduka Okoye (Sparta Rotherdam, Netherlands) - Quality: TOp top performance in the Dutch league (Rated 7th best in Europe). MAde team of the season and was practically the best keeper in the league. Hopefully, he moves to Ajax as rumoured or a bigger league.
10. Leon Balogun (Rangers, Scotland - Europa) - Quality: Helped Rangers to win the Celtic/Rangers scottish league title. Did Okay in the Europa. Leon's injury problems have been the biggest hinderance to his career and at 32, there's not much he can offer the SE in another year or 2.
9. Joe Aribo (Rangers, Scotland - Europa) - Quality: Like Steven GErard has said severally, Aribo has qualities of a world class midfielder. Though Injury slowed him at the beginning of the season, he eventually scored 7 goals and assisted 4 in the celtic League with a goal and top notch performances in the Europa. HE would be playing CHampions League (qualifiers first) football this season and hopefully, he kills it.
8. Terrem Moffi (Lorient, France) - Top Quality.: He repaid Lorients confidence in dolling out big cash for his services with 14 goals. One of the revelations in the lique 1 making Lique 1's team of the week 3 times this season though his club battled relegation all season. He's been linked to Dortmund. He either makes the move or shutdown the lique 1 next season.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPgUIEtH7PY

7. Victor OSimhem (Napoli, Serie A - Champions League) - WOrld CLass: He had all sorts of health issues this season but once settled he showed the Serie A what he's got. 10goals, 3 assists and the Europa qualification. He wuld be a banger next seasona and would eventually show why he moved for a World class fee. Question, can a player be termed WORLD CLASS even if he isnt playing CHampions League football?
6. Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal, LALIGA) - TOP Quality: Started slow, then came out banging but got injured towards the end of the season. He helped Villareal win the Europa. He woudl be playing champions league football next season. Is this the season he eventually enters the World class league?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHwcbY6Be2s

5. Simy Nwankwo (Crotone, Serie A) - Top Quality.: 20 goals (9 penalties) in the Serie A is not beans. HE woudl surely remain in the Top 5 league next season.
4. Seniorman Kelz (Leicester City/ENG) - TOp Quality.: STarted the season on bench for league games but by the turn of the new year, he exploded. Won player of the month and some MOTM including nominated for best goal in the EPL.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qLE02AoyeE

3. Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City/ENG) - WORLD CLASS.: Ndidi started his season as a central defender and blazed, battled injury for almost 4months but when he got back, he showed why he's the best DM in the EPL and why he is a world class player. He carried leiceister to fight for the Top 4 positions but alas, they lost out on the last day. Leicester without Ndidi is a mid-table team.
2. Zaidu Sanusi (Porto/POR) - TOP QUALITY: Revelation of the year. Zaidu is extremely fast, skillful and a very hard tackler. He started out as a left winger but got converted to central defence while playing lower league football and eventually settled as a leftback in his last season in the Mirandela. He's move to Porto was a sucess and he shone in the Champions League with his performance against ROnaldo the talking point. He totally shut out the gbigense. POrto is a world class team, one more performance like this from him and he wuold put him in the World Class bracket. Sannu da aikatawa.
1. Paul Onuachu33 (GENK/BEL) - TOP QUALITY: 33 league goals (9 penalties) and 2 goals in the domestic league. Belgian league is top 10 in Europe but you cant away the fact that he would replicate this in the top league. No other African player has scored more than 25 goals and with Paul breaking a 19yr goals record in the League. Onuachu has been playing in Europe since 2014 with 3 Champions League tournaments under his belt. He would end up in the TOp 5 Leagues ot a top team considering that alot of teams playing in the CL need strikers. Villareal, sevilla, Lille, AC, Atalanta, Wolfsburg, Spartak, Porto are teams that i expect should be interested in him.
