Taye Taiwo

One of my favorite former SE players. How soon we forget these players after they've moved on from SE without any appreciation of their contributions. Taye came 3rd in MVP voting behind Messi and Mikel at the 2005 wyc, he went on to a successful career at Marseille where he was the best LB in France at a point during his time there. He then moved on to AC Milan but it all went downhill after making just 4 appearances for Milan and getting shipped to football purgatory in England.
What went wrong with Taye in Milan? He never seemed to regain his confidence after moving to Italy. How did one of the most promising LB become so unproductive all of a sudden? He was in Finland last year but he's now Doxa Katokopias FC.

One of my favorite too. A player that did not wait for a SE spot to be given to him. He went out and grabbed it from Udeze, who himself grabbed the position Babayaro. That's how it should be. Not the quota system that some people are advocating for homebssed players, and definitely not the way people want the goalkeeper spot to be given to someone else instead of the no.1 goalkeeper in the country that earned the spot through hardwork.
The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not be in want.
